Integrate SwitchBot Curtain and Meter in Home Assistant

Does the API method still work? I have a SwitchBot Meter connected to a Hub Mini and I was able to get the device ID and fill everything in but it doesn't create a device in HA although it does create some entities but they are read only and show an error. The logs say something about "error while processing the template" so not sure if the issue is making the connection or formatting the data?

Great video! Just followed the process for the second method using the API. Feedback for future videos: if you could please zoom in your screen or record in 4K, it would make things easier to see. There is too much compression at 1080p to be able to read that small of font.

Can the api be used with the SwitchBot Contact Sensor?

I have done this some time ago, but I never fixed the reversed reporting in HA. Because fully closed in Switchbot app is position 100, even though in HA position 100 is fully opened. Am I the only one with this problem?
