Thanks for watching! Comment below on which mower(s) you'd like to see next!
ОтветитьIve got the ego for 2 years and ive gone through 3 batteries all gone just after a year so not covered by warranty, its a shame because the mower is great
Ответитьmakita was clearly the best, your basis toward Milwaukee was obvious . Yeah everyone likes say word Milwaukee but it dont make them the best tool
ОтветитьGreat video! I’m sure it took you quite a while to get through all of those tests. My only gripe would be with the points awarded on charge time. It’s not really the same playing field when awarding points on the one that finishes charging first considering these all use different sized batteries. For example, the green works scored really high in charging even though it has the slowest charger. It took it 100 minutes to charge 6.5 amp hours, whereas the Milwaukee only took 16 more minutes to do 24 amp hours (4x that amount) but you scored it the lowest. I know its more about how fast you can get back to mowing but if you charge each one for say 20 minutes, you can probably finish 2 more lawns with the Milwaukee vs the green works. Other than that, this was great!
Ответитьthanks for this vid. i own a bunch of wilwakee power tools and was debating the 1k aud for the 18v mower... this helped me weigh up options nicely.
ОтветитьShould have sat them up on something and let the rundown by themselves instead of walking the miracle mile/s lol
ОтветитьYou put the ego as 2nd most expensive but even in the ad you posted it was on sale for $699.? Not sure why you didn't calculate sales
ОтветитьThis was very helpful. I bought a Ryobi in 2019. I now need a new battery and the replacement is longer than the original. The battery cover won’t close. This experience has soured me on Ryobi.
Do other companies routinely change the battery design that renders their older equipment obsolete?
The greenworks was sold in Australia as an Aldi branded mower. It is great, though parts are hard to come by and Aldi have given up on the model. We can only get the 2ah battery not the 4ah one.
ОтветитьThe only issue i see is... not on load, walking a mower doesn't really test a battery...the longest lasting unit could, in theory, have the weakest motor, allowing it to last longer...... 1w motor is going to outlast a 100w motor...
Ответитьyou can check how long the milwaukee and makita battery charge rate is by clicking the battery fill button on each battery
ОтветитьAwesome review thanks for the videos
Wonder which mower is the most durable and would provide the most years of service
Value doesn’t come from the lowest price
For your next test go around the block till they physically wear out 😂
Nice touch giving a mower to your neighbor.
You could have just switched them all on and left them bubbling away in the back yard!
ОтветитьGreat review! How come you didn't include the Stihl 510V in your review?
ОтветитьThanks ! I'll be sticking with my honda petrol mower. Cuts better than a battery mower. Milwaukee mower in Australia is $1300 dollars and no battery's.
ОтветитьDedication.
Ответить@theLawnReview You used the sale price on others except the EGO, based on the screenshots in this video.
ОтветитьI have a Greenworks 17”, 40v and I’m waiting on it to die so I can try to find a real mower 😂. Any suggestions for thick (not tall) grass, lmk;)
ОтветитьAny mowing during your battery life test completely invalidates your testing.
ОтветитьMight as well have just put the mowers onto a tredmil with the speed they run set. That would give you a more accurate distance.
Ответитьvery kind to give the mower... my brothers just gave me one! Can't wait to use it!✋🤓
ОтветитьYou should probably pull your head out of your arse when doing these tests and posting them publicly. Someone may have to leave and not finish the video and be left with a false impression because of your dumbasserie.
ОтветитьI think with the exception of the makita, the rest run a single bar blade so in thicker grass the others would be acting like slashers, a 4 blade system will guve better cut and pick up so if the makita was used to the correct setup and condition it probably would out perform the rest, i have seen makita mowers get put through harsher conditions than this and they just keep going.
ОтветитьNot bad for the small group of mowers you tested. However, you left out one of the best performing mowers made by Kobalt. In other reviews, it was the best overall mower of a much larger group of cordless mowers.
ОтветитьIf you have really tall stuff. I don't see how anything under 40V is powerful enough for larger areas.
ОтветитьI have found my Makita mower charges much faster, about 45 minutes for two 5 ah batteries. Also, is it possible the Makita during the bog down test also hit a rut like the Milwaukee did the others? How well do they bag. I primarily use a rider but in the fall when planting new grass I use a walk behind. I also have a steep hill and the makita climbs well. The bagging for leaves does well but is slow. It's better than raking. I liked the feel of the makita as I did the Milwaukie much more sturdy. My thoughts and thanks for the review.
ОтветитьEnjoyed the video.
FYI: You can press the battery indicator button on the back of a milwaukee battery when it is charging on the charger to see where it is in the charge cycle.
Great job
ОтветитьBecause of many online reviewers i would prefer Ego but Greenworks consistently seem to be a better value and what i ended up purchasing. This video pretty much confimed my observations.
ОтветитьNo dewalt?
ОтветитьWe are probably gonna be getting the ego soon. Props to you for helping out that couple and making their lives a lot easier.
Ответитьgreat video answered my questions
ОтветитьThe Ryobi only uses one battery at a time. When one dies, you flip the red key to point to the other slot and it then uses that one. I am certain you only ran down one of the batteries in your mower mile test. You probably also had all wheel drive turned on, which kills the battery faster. Also, when charging the Ryobi, the lights on the battery itself show you the progress (it adds a solid light for each quarter of a charge and flashes the one it’s working on
ОтветитьHave you done a test on HarborFreights Atlas mower?
ОтветитьGood work
ОтветитьWow, that was really nice of you to give them the Ego mower! It’s a great mower! It does a great job of mulching the leaves into a fine mulch right into the lawn.
ОтветитьFor the cut check, you probably had the default mulching blade on. but there is a high-lift blade that can be used for a better cut when using the bag.
ОтветитьBattery powered mower!😂🤣😂 no thanks. I wonder how long it would take to mow 36 acres
ОтветитьI wish you would have included the Hart 40 volt mower
ОтветитьThere is no way that 80v Greenworks died like that. I have the 60v and could have cut that entire area on that level.
Ответитьany idea how Toro or Kobalt would compare to these?
ОтветитьI whisper, go with 1 being the best instead of 5.
ОтветитьYou have a heart of gold for giving that lady the mower
ОтветитьThe Green works battery has lights on the front to indicate what stage the charging of the battery is at.
ОтветитьThis was an awesome video!!! Subscribed!!
ОтветитьWould have been great if you had a Stihl in there too...
ОтветитьGreenworks looks similar to the echo one
ОтветитьAWESOME video! Thanks for sharing.
ОтветитьAre all mower blades sharpened before the tests?
ОтветитьHave you tested the STIHL battery mowers?
Ответить
