Can we PLEASE get some stories where characters who have JUST spent a ton of money/time on their new HOUSE (or condo) don't just allow the antagonist to force them out? It's so stupid, literally no one would allow this crap, and just go buy yet another house or condo right after investing so much money on the first one!
It's a really unrealistic trope that's getting SUPER old at this point. Most people don't have that kind of money to throw around.

Julia is a terrible person but she's not wrong about them not being able to just decide they're going to TAKE her child without permission.
You have to go through court, etc in order to gain custody of someone else's kid.
Which really sucks in abuse cases where the kid(s) NEED immediate intervention but can't get it.

I’m not sure. Is the balance on the mortgage $8k or is that the monthly payment? If someone were to hand me a house with an $8000 balance due, I’d be all over that.

You don’t take people to court for criminal law. The prosecutor does that.

How is the remaining loan balance $8,000? I could understand $80,000 or maybe $180,000. Or it could be $8,000 a month.

They can pay off the house and then sell,it to get their money back and let the parents move into the condo on the condition Julia is NOT allowed to come with them. If they feel the grandson is being neglected have the father or yourselves sue for custody.

Ridiculous. I would never send the Sil money. I would never have built a brand new house only to give it to the sil. Anyone who does that really has issues. Cannot let someone push you over and so obviously. This Sil is horrible.

This sounds just like MY older sister......i feel more for my younger brother though who makes more money than me......at least he has me, his big brother to have his back. In my sisters defence, at least she never abused her kids.....she just used her kids to get more money from the rest of us
