"That's the way pap wanted it" this is ironic since Vito wanted Michael to be politician and he refused it, thus made Sonny angry.
ОтветитьThere was a tremendous sadness about cazale and according to people who knew him he was very distant and sensitive
ОтветитьYou're weak Fredo, weak.
ОтветитьIf being dumb in any family is hard, imagine being one in a crime family. Cazale's acting perfectly shows that drama.
ОтветитьFredo, you’re nothing to me now.
ОтветитьAnd you have the rain in the background, letting it all out. 😞
ОтветитьThe coldest line in the movie.
ОтветитьFredo was smart.
But made dumb decisions.
Your brother Fredo, whatever happened there.
ОтветитьWho was geary with? Was he with roth too or some other mob? 🤔
ОтветитьMikee…
ОтветитьNot a chance I can act like he did. Legend he is
ОтветитьMichael should have exiled Fredo, not THAT decision. It was wicked and it haunted him for years
ОтветитьChills !!!
Ответитьfredo 🤮
ОтветитьI can handle things, I’m smart, I might be stupid but I’m smart
ОтветитьFredo sealed his own fate when Michael asked him if he knew anything Else about what happen & Fredo still didn't want to him anything 😮🤣🤣
ОтветитьI think it's obvious, though I could be misreading, it seems Mikey was not being entirely truthful when he tells his brother he's "nothing" to him. But this is Michael Corleone, and betrayal on this level requires a specific outcome. If he weren't cold, he'd be crying.
ОтветитьYou gotta admit... that chair looks comfy af
ОтветитьI feel so sorry and pity for Fredo. He pours his guts and frustration to Micheal and it goes in one ear to the next. Fredo just falls back in despair and defeat. He realized it was futile.
Ответитьmasterful acting
Ответитьme when my dab cart clogs
ОтветитьCrazy how fredo most resembles Vito but the most opposite out of all sons
ОтветитьFredo’s Adam’s Apple deserved Academy consideration...
Ответитьthis is the movie that made me wanna be Italian
Ответитьsaying the phrase "I'm smart and I want respect" ironically implies the opposite of both.
ОтветитьMy little brother is just like Mike in this scene. The louder someone gets, the quieter he gets. Then, at the end, he lays it out, and i stand there in astonishment.
ОтветитьPlease. He had. Cancer
ОтветитьI think Fredos rant about being passed over is what sealed his fate. He showed Michael just how hurt and bitter he still was and would always be. He couldn’t be trusted.
ОтветитьTHE PIANO, IT IS GENIUS.
ОтветитьRespect has to be earned
ОтветитьI'm smaaaaht. 😂😂 Michael's silent wickedness was spine chilling.
ОтветитьMan, I wish this scene could've gone on for 20 minutes. John Cazale, one of the greats.
Ответитьthe real tragedy that it's easy not to notice (because tragedy is an arc of character that is thwarted by an inherent flaw, not an event or a consequence, as many people suppose) is that that awkward, bendy-bouncy movement of the chair perfectly undermines fredo's best attempt to be strong...that he is wobbly and faintly ridiculous even at his most forceful. while michael is powerful even when he's temporarily on the back foot (as the shout-ee to fredo's shout-er)–strength he doesn't even have to work at. and i can understand john cazale's desire for extra takes: that vocal crack on the word "smart" is just perfect.
ОтветитьThat chair Fredo is sitting on looks so goofy the way it bounces. It emphasizes how a joke he is
Ответитьmichael layed down the law.
fredo was taking sides with the enemy.
I always thought this was kind of dumb. These actions Michael takes are reserved for a smart man that deliberately tried to harm you because it would benefit him. Michael KNOWS his brother is weak minded and kind of dumb and was manipulated by smart men into something he had no idea what it would be. Why would he do this?
ОтветитьFredo was an idiot
ОтветитьI see where Michael is coming from. Betrayal like that can't be qualified.
Ответить🔥👑🔥
Thank U 💓
A reminder of the immense talents of the late great John Cazale...a short, but incredible career. It was you, Fredo...it was you.
ОтветитьFredo didn't deserve death because he didnt want michael killed
ОтветитьThis scene degrades Italian people. Most are very strong tied to their family and forgive their brother despite money and corrupt outside the family - business .
ОтветитьFredo was to weak
ОтветитьI like fredo ..Micheal ordered a hit on his brother
Fredo should have seen it coming
Not kill him off would have been a good idea come back In Part 3 for Revenge on Micheal his brother did not die but fredo got his Revenge
The way he moved and speaks you can see marlon Brando in him. Genius.
ОтветитьAnybody else have to do this to a sibling. Once you've crossed that line and betrayed me..yup.... "You're nothing to me now."
ОтветитьMagnificent john casale
ОтветитьIt’s ok to be incompetent, as long as you have the right amount of ego to match with it. No one owes you respect.
