WIND vs SOLAR - Which Is Better? | Subsistence Gameplay | Alpha 59

Hello.
Should the wind and solar panels be on top of the building? Or would they function the same even if they are inside the building?

In game I have twenty of the double solar panels and five improved wind turbines and it doesnt generate enough power over time to run some lights and the fridge and one mining thing for water. In real life with good storage batteries I could supply most of the needs of a small to medium house. It needs to be increased big time to be even remotely realistic. This developer must work for a fossil fuel company, lol.

But what about in winter for example... I've never played Subsistence but I like watching videos of it, so I can only wonder. Does the solar panel generate as much in winter and how does the wind turbine perform in a calm snowy day?

Good experiment but the situation is more complex. I always use a mix, with more solar panels. I like the turbines for a boost in stormy weather, especially for night when the solar don't produce, and for winter storms. I always do solar first, then after 4 or so, add a turbine.

for sure you need solar panels more than those wind turbines. But, during winter wind turbines does it job in storms and nights

I wish the developer had a panel generate a bit more power honestly
