I Went to a Brand New (Dutch Owned) Supermarket in Russia

We call them Shopping Cart here in NY.

It seems like sanctions from western countries don't really have much of an impact on Russian society...

From South Africa everybody at checkout has chairs,trolleys exactly same,come visit us,our shoppingcentres malls looks excactly the same.Come checkout Kruger Park something different.Think Russian people would get along great with us.Saw interview with Russian Ambassador looks,speaks the same as us.(Great Diplomat).

Sanctions working well for Russia, prices are lower than in the Netherlands and definitely New Zealand.

In New Zealand 16 eggs for about 9 Euro.

hi Russell,I really love your videos,may I ask you something about the trolleys?here in NSW a lot of the supermarkets to release a trolley you have to introduce a dollar or 2 and at Aldi a token,in thar supermarket they don,t it's that the rule in Moscow or the exception..........cheers mate!!.

I don't know why there's no Aussie wines & how New Zealand wines circumvented the sanctions, but maybe its because Aussies are more vehement in their Russophobia and Sinophobia. They're trying to get New Zealand into the AUKUS alliance against China. China is New Zealand's biggest trading partner and is no threat to New Zealand. To Russia, NATO expansion is an existential threat, just as the Soviets in Cuba were to the USA.
Maybe Nzers are more savvy than Aussies about geopolitics, and they can see that the demonising of Russia and China by the West holds no water. Keep up the good work so we can see more of Russia denied by us in the West.

The reason that beer costs less than soft drink in Russia vs what you'd see in other countries, eg, Australia is this.

For most countries, tax or levy is imposed on alcoholic beverages depending on the alcohol concentrations.

Usually there isn't such additional tax-levy for soft drink.

In Russia, likely there isn't such tax-levy on alcoholic beverages.

Indeed, perhaps there is some tax-levy on soft drink or they have imported items are much more popular so domestic soft drink brands put up prices as comparison vs imported brands.

I live in America on a fixed income, really fixed. The prices of food and utilities are skyrocketing. We are assaulted by propaganda from the government and media. The government agencies are out of control, the people are losing their rights.

I've just turned 80. If I were younger I'd seriously consider relocated to Russia. The country seems to have a future unlike the west that's been largely captured by the woke.

Jack Daniel’s 1.75L shown in video is 2.5 times more expensive in the United States 🇺🇸 ($38 to $49) but we are getting their Woke policies propaganda for free. I am unaware if whiskey tastes any better, because I stopped buying anything Jack Daniel’s.

As a South African, this is 100% a South African Staple Store. They are literally in every town and Suburb….
Thats why there are South African wines on the shelves I think, because it’s an established relationship between producers and the SPAR franchise.

Жила немного в Польше, была в Германии и Нидерландах. Очень удивилась маленькому набору свежих фруктов и овощей и сами по себе не вкусные. И вообще маленькому выбору продуктов. Мало магазинов вообще. В Польше на выходных не работают и праздники государственные только на заправках и маленькие магазинчики совсем. И даже аптеки.

Why they ask us to lift sanctions if these are such good for them? They should rather thank the West and apply for more sanctions.
