The possum was the most annoying . They refused to spawn a 3 star possum for me

Took me a while to get a perfect chipmunk carcass

I cannot find the oriole I had to go to fort Brenard by the kamassa river and I found the Robin flying around or perched in the fort.

I found the oppossum but it turns out I only had to pick it up and i accidentally left it but it still had it checked off.

It's raining every morning here. SMH

As soon as I arrived I got the perfect oriole then about an hour later I got perfect robin. BUT my dumbass ate the oriole and after 3 hours of doing absolutely nothing I shot another one but for some damn reason the game bugged and the paw symbol for the carcass didn't appear so I couldn't get it

kinda ridiculous, I have the pronghorn trinket and the chipmunk just disappeared from my inventory wtf

I've been to the bird spot for hours, real life hours and no Orioles or Robins, lots of Sparrows, a couple of Bluejays and Cardinals.

I was looking for a Robin for HOURS and the second I went to your spot, the first bird I saw was a perfect Robin🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

The bath scene at the end had me in tears lmaooo

Thank you so much for this, I feel like these missions got ignored by so many players since there's so little helpful information out there on the locations of these animals outside of the odd source of "seen one here one time" posts.

I have this theory that as soon as the game knows you’re looking for an animal it will prevent it from spawning I went tearing through Tall Trees two nights in a row in the epilogue no possums.

Ive been running around this area for 3 hrs now. Saw 1 solitary 2 star chipmonk... fuck me this 100%best in the west is gonna kill me. Im really not in the mood to keep doing this with tiny fucking birds and shit for two more rounds

It’s possible but hard before the epilogue but you can find orioles insanely easy in the upper Montana river

Sadly got 1 star possum in the daytime here..still waiting . And I have yet to spot 1 chipmunk here

I’m on day 3 of trying to find a robin. Haven’t even found a one or two star robin yet :/

I keep getting the 2 star ones

No shit if you go right by the river pretty much in the river where he says for the chipmunks and be very careful and look on the rocks there is a robin over there. The chipmunks are actually giving me more of a problem

I’ve found the best place to find chipmunks is right outside of horseshoe overlook.

I am just missing the birds

its funny how only the animals on each list are hars to find and whatever not on it you see all over the damn place

My carcasses keep wearing off on my horse!, I don’t even know if I can get that trinket now because I don’t have the antler anymore, Smh.🤦🏻‍♂️

Why do i only see squirrels and no chipmunks? - 3 seconds later i found a perfect chipmunk…

Quick tip: Ringneck Creeck Is not the best spot to find chipmunks, u should go at the Building site near Strawberry

Dammit when I get opossum it doesn't show that I've gotten it in the list WTF

When I get the opossum it dosent show me if it's poor,good, perfect and it doesn't count to the quest please someone help me

I hate the automatic skinning of little animals like birds and toads etc. Ive had that collection multiple time now, but ALWAYS manage to F it up when cooking my food.

this quest is a MAJOR pain in the ass!

Finally found an oriole and I felt relieved. I pulled my bow out and shot it and ploop right into deep water. I felt so defeated. Decided to keep pushing on and looking and I saw a paw mark appear on my mini map, the corpse floated downstream and remained perfect quality. Success!

It doesn't let me send the opossum carcass

I was going to get the chimpunk and I accidentally ridden in someone’s horse and a law was watching me

All the birds you need for this are at Ranoke valley and at Dakota river close to Bard's Crossing. Camp a several days on both places and go hunting for those star carcasses.. Store them all in your satchel. They won't decompose. And then you can go hunt those animals that don't fit in your satchel, like the oppossum, skunk and beaver. Don't forget to also hunt for a toad and a bullfrog. They are also needed for this.

Im almost certain that if you pick the opossum carcass and then die, you wont need to worry about it spoils...

Finding 3 star animals in RDR 2 is pain in the ass 🤬🤬🤬

You can easily find an opossum at night at the broken down structure in the heartlands.

you mention in this video the buck antler trinket keeps your carcasses from rotting on your horse....it does NO SUCH THING! It only gives a higher chance of getting (or rather keeping) a perfect pelt when using a more powerful weapon than is recommended... my perfect possum carcass rotted before I got my first bird for this one. (And I DO have that trinket)
Edit: what you were thinking of is the Legendary PRONGHORN trinket. you find the Legendary Pronghorn in New Austin either by waiting for the Epiloge or glitching there early. THAT trinket will keep animals from spoiling on your horse.

Orioles, Robin, cardinal, scarlet and finally the WOODPECKER are all located in Fort brennand. Clamp to the tower then jump to roof for better vision u will encounter with these species. I had found them all their. Good Luck..,

How come I saw someone shooting a small game arrow at a 2* chipmunk killing it in one hit and when he picked it up it became a „Perfect Chipmunk Carcass“?

i had a bug during this quest.
I only/already had the oriole carcass in my bag... when i picked up the chipmunk carcass, the opossum has also be marked as done. so i only had the robin left... but when I picked up another oriole, the opossum disappeared again from the list... it happend several times (tested)... it also disappears when i pick up a secound chipmunk or when i save/exit and start again.
(i dont have a opossum carcass, the only one ive ever had was a bad one)

man i never thought i would find a guest who wastes your time even more than the exotics quests until i wanted to finish this series of side quests ...i`ve been hunting chipmunks for 1 hour and i only get 2 stars ones.

Tons of squirrels, skunks, wild boar, turkey, and rabbit... no chipmunks

I already had the robin whilst I was searching for a cardinal last request. And I was finding loads of orioles earlier but now that I need them I can't seem to find any.
