This was by far the most beautiful and emotional episode from this season. There will be more cool fights and scenes, but this is where the season peaked - seeing a vulnerable Jinwoo, who finally achieved what he wanted from the very beginning - cure his mom. That scene was phenomenal - his anxiety, the delicate moves while handling his unconscious mother, the moon finally shining on her as she woke up and the heartwrenching soundtrack in the background - it was perfect and it was all worth it, just as the title suggests.

They actually can't sense Jin-Woo - the reason that Goto Ryuji assumes Jin-Woo is an assassin is because assassins have the best control of their mana, and the only reason that Goto noticed Jin-Woo is because his guildmate noticed a cute guy. Cha Hae-In noticed Jin-Woo because of his scent, which clued in Lim Tae-Gyu, and Choi Jong-In noticed Jin-Woo because he was with Chairman Go.

When I watched that scene in the hospital bedroom, I admit that I couldn't help it but feel as if Jinwoo was just dreaming. Even now, I worry if there is a "catch" with that elixir. 😓

But even so, I'm glad the MC was able to finally complete his goal and save his mom while the series continue to go on. Furthermore, he now has a dragon/wyvern/drake, a new ability, and some awesome new weapons - Baran's daggers and sword (I wonder if he'll let Igris use his lightning sword). Plus, aside from his boosted stats from his other items, quest completions, and leveling, he now has Baran's ring and horn...I wonder what those items do? 🤔

I highly recommend that you react to the Puella Magi Madoka Magica series; it is a magical girl series whose characters are pretty much entirely teenage girls, and the plots are surprisingly deep and emotional. I don't want to say more in order to avoid spoilers.

I still don’t get why they’re rushing this anime so much. If you know your anime is inevitably going to dominate the charts, wouldn’t it be more logical and profitable to extend it? Wouldn’t it be better to slow things down, develop the characters and world more deeply, and make the viewers truly resonate with the story?

Like, they finally introduced Thomas Andre—alright—but completely removed his visit to Korea, his meeting with Chairman Go, and the entire conversation about Hwang Dong Soo. Why? They even shortened the discussion between Baek Yoon Ho and Min Byung Gu, leaving out key details like how Min retired because he couldn’t bear witnessing such brutal deaths anymore, and how he refused huge offers from companies. Including that would’ve added so much more depth to his character, which is crucial for the upcoming episodes.

Even the interactions between the Japanese hunters were deleted, and I read somewhere that they might remove Goto Ryuji’s entire plan against the Korean team. But I really liked how they handled Jinwoo’s interaction with his mom in the anime—it added so much emotion to the scene, with that sweet music and moonlight. Just lovely.

I seriously hope they don’t cut any more scenes than they already have. But let’s be real, if they’re trying to wrap up the season in just 3-4 episodes, it’s pretty much impossible. Ahh, I just wish they had taken the time to build the world more deeply and saved the Jeju Island Arc for Season 3 with a BANG!

S rank is just a rank given to hunters whose "mana" strength cannot be measured. their strengths can be very different, even to the point where the difference in strength is very large, like the difference between E rank and A rank.

Thomas is not an S Rank Hunter btw, he's a National level hunter, as in he can take on a nation on his own. he is iirc the strongest atm on that level.
