Love seeing a foreigner with limited knowledge talking about a closed russian city like an expert with sarcastic language and facial expressions off the scale... I grew up in one in the Urals. The closedness of the city meant that we had very low crime, beautiful clean streets cut grass, big beautiful parks with colourful flowers outskirts of the city we had beautiful lakes and forests. We had a huge national and private factory producing everything for the region so jobs guranateed and a big univercity also the the people that moved in were all extremely educated. My childhood till my parents decided to move at 12 was the happiest i could ever ask for. So to see some guy who got his knowledge probably from wikipedia talking utter b**ocks about russian cities similar to mine is hilarious im almost pissing myself.

I first heard about this city on a hockey podcast. The cities team was trying to recruit an American player, the player joked and said the city was so bad they tried to convince him to play for them by saying they had a Burger King as if that was an attraction.

I was also reminded of a Florida condo that collapsed two years ago that was the same age, and tossed up in a similar construction craze. Sort of... The Surfside Condo Collapse would fit one of your channels I am sure.

My mother was born in Magnitogorsk. Her grandparents were the people building in. My grandmother worked at the MMK in HR all her life.

I've been there quite a few times. The city nothing to ring home about, but it's not as terrible as some might think. It's a livable city still. The surrounding nature of the Urals is indeed stunning.

Sad that so many of the young admire socialism and crazy uncle Bernie.
