MuseScore 4 - Installing Our FREE Orchestral Plugin: Muse Sounds

I'm a bit late to this but this is totally next level. I thought the old sounds were good, but this, and for free? As a 18 year old wanting to get into arranging and composing, this is mind blowing and a god send for me, and other musicians.

can't get musehub to install on win 10 and struggling to find solutions.......

I cant find Guitar? Am I missing something obvious?

I installed Musescore last night and then downloaded musesounds. All of the sounds completed, except for strings which seemed to get stuck and did not complete. All the same, the other sounds that were completed did NOT appear as the default sounds in the mixer. It was still reading MS Basic. And there was no way to abort the string download that seemed to go wrong. I have plenty of power and storage on my computer to run this. 16GB 1 Terabyte. Every time I open the Musehub the strings were still not finished. Do I need to restart my computer and see if the new musesounds default in the mixer? I'm kind of bummed to be having this kind of trouble at the outset where the first and most basic part of setting up has gone wrong.

I gave it a short try and the sound are definitely perfectible. There seems to be reverb effects applied by default, whioch is not what I want. The harpsichord plays arpeggios, which are unfortunately not in the score, probably because the samples are not correctly aligned. Yet you don't look at the teeth of a given horse says a French proverb.

There is no 'Get' button below the libraries. Nothing I click seems to have any effect on the program at all.

I'll check back in on this project in a year or two, this is too frustrating. "It just works!" is the entire tutorial, and it JUST DOESN'T.

This application just doesn't work? Installing sounds does literally nothing, there's no way for me to get them into MuseScore... And the stupid program just sits in the bottom right, cant' be moved, and minimizes any time focus is lost?? Who programmed this garbage.

i'm sad both that it's not open source and that it's not available on macos catalina, especially since musescore 4 works on catalina

i understand wanting to keep muse sounds proprietary, but making the muse hub closed source feels kind of silly. no need to use a GPL license if you're worried about virality

When I try to start MuseScore 4, I get a pop-up saying 'MuseScore4.exe - Entry Point Not Found - The procedure entry point MFPutWaitingWorkItem could not be located in the dynamic link library MFPlat.DLL. How disappointing

Can I download and use Muse sounds with version 3.6.2? I'm used to the old user interface and don't like 4.0.

that MuseScore 4 Update was a giant leap foward - wow... BUT where is the proper app for mobile devices? When can we FINALLY edit scores on an iPad?!

Why does muse Sounds make my whole musescore App laggs as hell? If i have 5+ Instruments and 20+ bars musescore becomes unusable with Muse Sounds

Not true for linux. There's no VST effects.

These sound great from what I've heard, but is there any way to download them on a PC using an earlier version of Windows 10? Such a shame that I can't try them

So is all this stuff ACTUALLY free. Signed up new account on Musescore and immediately got a 'start free trail' and 'buy the full version' message! Con!?!?!?

I don't have a VST3 folder even thought I've added one in the General Settings, I can't add a custom instrument. Is it because I have the free version of Muse?...

Why not just implement a sfz bank player, since there are already good free collections of sfz instruments?

for years the better known commercial notation programs have defeated me...then i found this...i dont know how or why the creators of this make it happen for free but they have my undying gratitude and admiration.

When you install MuseScore, it invites you to install these extra sounds, and shows a link to this video. Is it just me, or does it seem like it'd be much more effective if this started with a brief example (e.g. under the opening narration) of how good Muse Sounds sounded? If you're encouraging people to download and install gigs of extra software, you may as well start by giving them an idea how good it is.

I'm so glad musescore is free to use 🙏I've been getting into arranging my favorite songs this year and it's great to have this tool

"You need at least Windows 10 20H1 - May 2020 Update (10.0.19041) to install Muse Hub", but my computer refuses to either download or install the 20H1 update. HELP!!!!!
