How to Change Chrome Tab View/Layout in Android - Chrome Tab Style Change [PERMANENT FIX]

There's another way to do this, but I don't remember how. It involves using Force Stop and something else. Do you know how to use this method?

Not working for me, I never get 4 options after typing in Tab Gr - perhaps they (Chrome) screwed me over yet again...

I only get tab grid layout and tab group continuation options. Disabling them doesn't change anything for me

As of May 25th (V91.0.4472.77) this no longer works for me. I have to enable the "Temporarily unexpire M90 flags" to get the "Tab Groups" and "Tab Groups UI" to show up and disabling them gets rid of tab groups but nothing I do will get rid of the grid layout

Why are they even forcing it? I mean, I guess if someone constantly has something like 20+ tabs open, it may be beneficial to keep them in order, but what use I have of it if I rarely have more than 4 opened at the same time? It is just busywork as I need to click through one more screen each time I change tabs. Why not have something as obvious as, gee, I don't know, a TOGGLE for this feature?!
Time to look for Chrome alternatives I guess.

I did this after your first video it worked fine the it went back to the grid view I did follow your second video it worked fine then today after a few weeks I'm back to the grid view. Trying to follow your video today but it seems I don't have tab groups and tab group ui improvements no matter what I do. Please help I hate the grid view

Mine is disabled still it is showing grid view

Today, it reverted back to the grid.

Looks like google changed back to the grid again but took away 2 of the options to change i dont know hiw to fix this

Please help!! I watched the previous video and changed the grid layout. But today it came back. I watched this newer video for a permanent fix, but this time I don't see 4 headings with 'Tab gr'. The tab grid continuation and the last header in the video aren't there. There are only the first 2 things, which I disabled and relaunched chrome, but the grid persists.
Please find a solution to my problem 🙏
I have over hundred open tabs and I don't want to lose them. The grid layout is too unfit for my purposes.

IF DOESN'T WORK TRY THIS:
Go to chrome,settings,accessibility,turn on simplified view for web pages your tab will become different then do all the steps mentioned in this video👍 then turn off the simplified view in accessibility

I got the older tab but I can't swipe down to open new tab😣

Followed the steps. It's not working at this time. Google just doesn't care about this...
