This was such an incredible event to watch as someone from the UK. We'd had such a terrible run at Eurovision (and just a terrible few years in general) nobody expected anything from Sam Ryder, all we wanted was a single point and it would've been an improvement on 2021. Instead we got one of the most validating voting's of all time, and even though we didn't win, we were able to honour the Ukrainian victors when we finally got the chance to host after 25 years. It has been such an honour being so involved in Eurovision as a nation these past couple years. Thank you for all of this <3

I love the way Portugal and Spain vote with each other... though we are neighbours... we only do the predicatble vote when we feel like the other country has a chance to win... Look at 2017 where they gave us the 12 points unapolagetically... here Portugal gave 12 points to Spain which does not happen often
