Battlefield finally has some competition...

I am bit sad that they went so arcade style of gameplay. We already have BF and CoD for arcade rampage. DF should have definitely go with more grounded and realistic style but not as much as Tarkov or Arma. Also stupidest decision ever was to make premade characters for a Extraction shooter. If you can make your character, you are instantly more attached to it and it makes the Extraction gameplay way more personal and better. But if it is some poorly written generic premade character then it feels like whatever when losing. Also there is 0 reason to spend money for costumes for a character that does not represent you at all and the game is even in first person. So that is big loss in income for a free to play game.

I mean after bf 5 anything can beat Battlefield 😢

Is there a hardcore mode by any chance?

I think what there is a market for is like a hardcore BF, or rather a BF with stealth and spotting mechanics like in BFV. Not exactly Tarkov meets BF but that minimal HUD thing would be great.

I have hopes for this game. I am not playing COD this year. They basically stopped doing larger map ground war which is the only reason I play COD.
BF is not out until next year. So this could hold me over.

Why do I have the feelings that this game will end up the same way battlebit, ww3 and medal of honor did? People will play it for a month or 2 and then forget about it and go back to battlefield, cod and all the ohter BR and extraction shooters?

It’s realistic,looks great.I pray they listen to the people . We have great ideas that others didn’t listen to but asked for our input. I love what I’m seeing thus far.

I would argue this concept that Battlefield has competition. 2042 was a letdown compared to previous battlefield titles and this knock off doesn’t address anything that BF fans hated about 2042.

I understand that this is an alpha but, no destruction, heroes and literally the same UI as BF2042 - this is battlefield from temu
