Do you have the bike you NEED or the bike you WANT? 🤔 Let us know in the comments! 👇
Ответитьslam the sem and other tyres and the endurace is just as fast. do not believe everything. tom boonen has tested the endurance
and found the endurace pro-worthy
Excellent video!
ОтветитьShould i go with 105di or ultegra mechanical? Is electronic worth it?
ОтветитьI couldn't be happier with my Lynskey sportive. It's comfy, fast, and extremely cost effective. Best 1000 quid I ever spent.
Ответить13.000 and it doesn't have a stand perfect
ОтветитьSo after all that it was not revealed how much faster the high-end bike was? Just a vague "it was faster"
ОтветитьAs with everything else in life, it boils down to how much money you have.
ОтветитьYears ago I went for expensive bikes, now I know it s just stupid
ОтветитьIt’s about time that GCN acknowledges that the rest of the world don’t need a bike that is more expensive than a car….
ОтветитьLove your videos! Nailing the subject every time and adding a bit of humour to it. Professional editing! Very refreshing!
ОтветитьSo necessary for me, because a bike i want cost one apartment hahaha.
ОтветитьA great return to form for GCN after that "Why Does A Road Bike Cost As Much As A Motorbike?" dumpster fire. This is what I was subscribed for. Keep up the good work!
ОтветитьMy research seems to find most of these high end mountain bike frames are made in china or taiwan.I would gladly put a big chunk of cash down for a carbon frame made in the USA.
ОтветитьIt's always a want vs. need......😂
I found after resisting so long from electronic shifting and rotor braking I was missing a great deal. There is a caveat to that.......I did not do the high end want, but rather a compromise in the tier of componetry. I opted Cannondale SuperSixEvo with true wireless shifting with SRAM Rival AXS. I did get new wheels from the OEM and there I went with Spinergy FCC32 full carbon with the SRAM XDR titanium freehub as a upgrade then replaced the DUB bottom bracket with a BBInfinite. The result is a good cross of road cycling on flats, mashing climbs, and descending with confidence.
Great video and comparison.
I love my endurace 7rb. It replaced my Gios. More comfy amd great all day
ОтветитьI want a 1000 watt throttle ebike. but have settled on my class 2, 500 watt ebike cause it gets me to where i need to go.
ОтветитьCarbon wheels but sora 😢
ОтветитьSpeaks volumes that Canyon don’t offer the Endurace AL with Ultegra groupset any more.
ОтветитьA friend of mine spent many thousands of dollars to save grams, yet he's 40lbs overweight.
ОтветитьAmateurs on $13k bikes looks so ridiculous sometimes, like you could've just gotten a regular bike and it'd work just as good
Ответить👍👍👍👍👍
ОтветитьMy wants were expensive for me to buy but my needs were the cheapest all that I needed. Hooray for me.
ОтветитьWhich would be a better purchase, the Endurace CF 8 Disc carbon fiber or the Endurace AL? Or are they about the same regarding what you need?
ОтветитьLooking to upgrade from my ISLA bike to my first gravel bike. Any recommendations for the upgrade?
ОтветитьNot sure about the rest of the viewers but I really need that bike.😀
ОтветитьWhat was the speed difference?
ОтветитьBetter bike has things which are nicer and more comfortable for the ride. It definitely doesn't make you better biker and speed difference is not that big. You can still catch up with friends on top bikes with your "cheaper standard" bike.
ОтветитьShort as I am, I'm mostly confined to specialized to find a good fitting bike. And as terrible as my mobility is, especially in my back, the aero s-works bikes are not appealing to me. I'd be all too happy to stick with a tarmac or an allez comp, that'll do me.
ОтветитьI don't care for any of the aero feature of a bike. I rather be comfy. It's not that I'm breaking any records. Buuuuut, I tried a friends DI2 shifters, and damn, I need it 😅
ОтветитьThis is a great video for me. I bought an inexpensive electric bike for commute to work (so i do not feel too exhausted in the office), but I feel I need a nice one for occasional fun rides, and there is no point riding electric. I will check something like this in a local shop (but suspect it might cost a lot more down under). Or maybe a used one.
ОтветитьFor a weekend warrior it helps a lot
ОтветитьI'm dreaming on a 1000 bike for me that is what i want ,what i have is a 120£ bike 😀😃😄but it is most important that i'm cycling
ОтветитьGreatttt lesson in this video 💪🏼
ОтветитьOfcourse we all have the bike we want- and not need by a long shot.
It’s called marketing and the ridiculous expectations we put on each other in the bunch. Pretty annoying elitist attitudes on display out there.
Nice to see GCN push out some solid advice to ALL riders.
Unfortunately, what I need is custom geometry. I have a relatively long torso, but short legs. I ride a 1994 Ron Cooper that has a 53 cm seat tube and 58 cm top tube. It's hard to find that geometry off the rack. It will be really hard to replace this bike affordably. (Fortunately, though, steel is pretty durable.)
ОтветитьI own an endurace a.l and I can confirm, it's unbelievable good for its price
ОтветитьAs usual, great practical information. Thank you GCN.
ОтветитьNo what i dont get, i use to run 100psi in my bmx tires 20 by 5.0......... 😂 but yes you can run lower but more chance of breaking the tire of the bead doing big jumps and hard hitting stunts like a 720
ОтветитьGot my self a roadbike from fb market then upgraded the wheels from fb market again then got some pedal from fb market again 😂 all and all pritty good fb market pushbike. Yes its another btwin500se just like my old bike 😂😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьYour legs are the primary factor.
What are you planning to do with your bike. Race, joy ride, no more than 50 miles, over 50 - 100 miles.
At times, a metro bike is the choice.
One can get a bike for $1,500 or, you can get a bike for $18,000.
Really like my 2010 Giant Defy Advance 1, however I’d love to upgrade my bike for a a better and faster ride!! Don’t know what to do, look for or what upgrades are available.
ОтветитьDid your wife make you do that video?
ОтветитьI used always say to people who asked me which bike to get was to spend more than you’d really like to. If you buy basic or budget as a new rider you’ll soon want to upgrade. If you buy a budget bike you won’t enjoy riding it and probably pack in cycling. I’ve just upgraded to a 12 speed Ultegra Di2 bike from my 105 mechanical which I still use. In all honesty there’s not much difference in the riding experience on the bike that cost nearly 3 times as much?
I’d still say buy the best you can, if you can afford to.
Great video. I'm riding an older carbon frame rim brake but have C35 wheels on it and carbon aero bars. It's fairly heavy at 8.5kg but was professionally fitted to me so it just great to ride over extremely long distances. Wheels maketh the bike, provided it's the right size.
ОтветитьMore like this please
ОтветитьThanks for this video. I was actually shocked by the 37 second difference over 13kms.
