This would be nice with a choate style stock or what ever the name is to make it more versatile as the but stock is hollow and is made for storage space to carry things like a fire kit or first aid or both along with barrel inserts to fire other ammo

As for a 20ga being adequate for most field purposes, it's a fact. Small game to deer fold up by the thousands every year to 20 ga guns. Pick your ammo properly, shoot straight, and eat meat. Regularly.

I like the versatility of ammo choices. You can switch between slugs, buckshot, birdshot, or even rubber bullets depending on the situation without unloading

I really like a 20 & 12 gauge.. but ammo availability I'd go 12 gauge.. lot of 12G around.. but yeah I like a 20 .. if you can find it & stock up go 20.
I just wish more of the Single shots had Choke Tubes ..

I’ve seen a Pointer single shot advertised and also the Stevens 301. Both seem decent and cheap, anyone have any ideas which one (if there is one) is better quality? I’m assuming both are Chinese made. I’d rather have a NEF or H&R but unless I find a used one somewhere, I am going to have to get one of those. I definitely want an ejector on mine. If I’d known it would be hard to get one I’d kept that old junker I had almost 30 years ago.

Shotguns are the best! Is a 20 gauge enough for bear protection? I don't like that it has no ejector, i think in a dangerous situation , you don't have to collect your empty shells, but shoot and get the H...l out of there!!

There is nothing wrong with a single shot. And there is nothing wrong with a 20ga. A little lighter and a little faster on the move.

I have one with the 22” barrel it came with 5 chokes. I like the full because of the 22” barrels let’s me reach a little further out. I added a fibre optic bead and a slip on recoil pad. I like to use the 3” magnum rounds and I have a bad shoulder. It’s taken many grouse. Fits great in the quad box and back pack. Great video

the problem i have is no ammo supply for 410 or 20 gauge. I can find 12 gauge and I sold my mossberg 590 a1 and kept a stevens single shot 12 gauge. I also sold all of my ar style weapons and several high cap semi auto pistols. I sold for several reasons but the biggest is money needed for toe surgeries out of pocket. they are healing! I do have a 5.56 bolt rifle and a 308 bolt rifle along with my lever guns and the obligatory ruger stainless takedown. I still have several revolvers and the old beretta 92 and 1911 should i need a combat sidearm. i have plenty of ammo for these guns but 410 is impossible to finds and 20 gauge is nearly impossible to find in my area.

Although I agree with a shotgun for a survival gun, I disagree with your choice of caliber. I would have opted for the 12ga. The reason I say that is if you have to scrounge for ammo in a SHTF scenario, you're most likely to come across 12ga. cartridges because they are the most popular.
Also, you can convert a 12ga. to a 20 ga. or even a 12ga to a .410ga. using Chaszel shotgun adapters. And you can convert your 12ga. to a rifle using Chaszel shotgun adapters.
Nice video though, I enjoyed it.

Nice review. Agree with the Single shot love. I own many shotguns, grew up with them in the South. I hunt some very rough terrain in the swamps. I got tired of carrying a heavy gun, and started to carry a 12ga 18" barrel with Benilli chokes. Make no mistake, very accurate out to 20-30 yds. Also do not forget that for bugout, you can get so many different INSERTS for just about all gauges, and rimfire, and many centerfire ammo like 9mm,45, etc. Thanks for the review. Love the paint jobs.

I qouldnt say 20g ammo is "significantly" smaller. Smaller, but not by enough margin. Think 22 Long compared to 22 Long rifle.

To me, the benefit to the 20g is less recoil. It loses 1 pellet in a similar 12g 00 buckshot load. But recoil is quite a bit less. But in all other regards, 12 is king for a reason.

Never mentioned the barrel. Is it a fixed choke barrel or does it have choke tubes? As an owner of three SS shotguns (12,16,20) I find it’s more important to have the ability to have tubes than cool paint and a sling. I carry the American tactical Nomad 20 ga when needed and it has choke tubes (uses benelli/beretta) and i paid $99. Never had an issue and it comes with a picatinny rail

I just got one for $52 bucks! The only issue I have found with mine is when you go to engage the trigger guard to break open the weapon. Mine is stiff as hell and you really have to pull back on it. Other then that, it's an awesome weapon and can't wait to mod it.

As soon as I heard you shopped at prepper up, I subscribed. Hello fellow Oregonian!!
Is this gun made in turkey? I just purchased an old army 20 gauge break barrel and it is literally identical to this gun in every way so I’m assuming they’re just purchased from turkey and being re-branded?? How’s it holding up btw? Thanks!
