How Filipinos REALLY treat foreign women in the Philippines (street interviews)

Maybe it is more of a hustle than a scam, but yes its a bit annoying even for us Filipinos. Even us experience this, like it will be more expensive depending how you look or if you are riding an expensive car.

I think starting is pretty common when you stand out anywhere from everyone else.

Foreigners are respected in the Philippines. They look or stare out you because we wonder where you came from and appreciate visiting our country.

and here we are. we are Filipinos living in California and thinking of going home to retire or going to Spain to retire because our kids live in Europe.

the filipino stare is what I hear most foreigners are bothered when I watch these vlogs but rest assured those stares are out of curiosity like "I wonder what he/she is doing here" type of stare 😂

They look at you because they all think you're beautiful. You're different and unique.

To be honest when foreigners come to the Philippines you are respected. When filipinos goes abroud we get discriminated. This is based on my experience since i came from abroad and stayed for 9 years

When you're foreigner in the Philippines you should have nothing to worry about except accident while travelling, however, crimes against foreigner is almost 1% to none. One thing also is to be just respectful to locals and acting all stupid might just get you somewhere unpleasant.

They stare out of curiosity….I’m an Asian and when traveling in Spain to the non big cities they stare at me like I’m an alien from another planet 😂

When people stare it's not out of disrespect or any malice. Generally from what I've experienced most Filipinos are curious and are very extroverted and want to talk to foreigners.

Shy and curious thats why they stare. They are observing because thats their trait. Not bad and safe really, they are more like background check for your own safety too most of the times. So dont be afraid of the locals doing this. Just hello and talk to them. It works most the time, and they might be shy at first and awkward😂

Don't they get it? It's the history Spain rule Philippines for the past 400 years then the Americans came that's why Filipinos missed Spain and the former American colony.

On foreigners being stared at, filipinos love beauty and looking at beautiful things. Filipinos, specially the guys, find foreign girls to be very beautiful and attractive because of their fair skin and hair. This is the corrupting influence of western (American) commercials and movies. But looking is all that they can do for they find them to be too rich for their taste, physically larger and probably high maintenance. Reminds me of the old days when people still eat dogs, they have no problem with the domestic variety but with the foreign breed is too valuable and almost sinful to eat. (bad analogy)

You should have been forewarned that when local Filipinos look at you, it's because they find you attractive without any malice. Don't be alarmed.
