I like Victor Davis Hanson, but I’ve spent too much time listening to journalists who have spent years in Gaza and the West Bank watching the IDF and settlers in action. There is a disregard of Palestinian rights that can only be called an apartheid system. Professor Hanson may need to delve more into the history of nationalistic Zionism. Framing this as Jews versus Arabs is wrong, in my view. It’s an intolerant group of Zionists who can’t accept Palestinians living in what they consider the Jewish homeland. Driving out Palestinian Arabs has been their aim from the beginning of modern Israel.

At 21 minutes this man literally couldn’t be more wrong! There is overwhelming support for Palestinians!

We need more people to step up like these gentlemen.

I think Victor is disconnected with some facts. The whole world doesn't hate Iran not even USA or EU. USA and the EU made the nuclear deal with the Iran few years back and then they didn't keep the deal, no problem, that's the USA thing. So, it is fair to conclude atleast half of the institution perceive Iranians as kosher. You must have noticed how ineffective western sanctions are ( even with full force of western collaboration). House in USA, is unwilling to fund Ukraine anymore, beyond that half of country thinks they've spent too much money in Ukraine. Rest of the world gets the message how committed are Americans to their stated foreign policy goals ( or their capabilities). Saudis and Iran have established democratic relationship. For better or worse, times are changing.

Disagree with the assessment on the former incumbent. nK continued their nuclear and ballistic missile activities unabated while the former incumbent “negotiated” with his best friend. Iran boosted its nuclear weapons development with the US’s abandonment of the ban, the former incumbent negotiated a peace with the Taliban (and committed the US to a full withdrawal by May 2021) and reduced US forces from 13,000 in January 2020 to 2,500 in 2021. He also significantly eroded confidence of US support for Europe by reducing U.S. force end strength, presence, and posture in Germany and completely ignored and even tried to justify Putin’s annexation of the Donbas and Crimea. Finally he absolutely eroded trust in Asia with the threats of reducing US force presence and posture on the Korean Peninsula and Japan.

He created the exact conditions that the world has been struggling with, and has been exacerbated under the current administration.
