I lived in Frankfort for 3 yrs (dependent brat)...same kersern as GI Blues was filmed. Loved it there (especially pastries & gummy bears)

Viel Spaß! I lived in France several years and often went on road trips. I've seen many German truckers and was always impressed by their trucks as well as their driving manners.

Be very patient with the cousin, keep it simple. And regards to the flip flops...may I suggest steel toe sandals? LOL...Good Stuff! 🤙

"Antique truck section with trucks from the 70's and 80's" Excuse me!!!! Antique Trucks!!!!!! I guess that makes me an 'antique' since I started driving in 1970. Good luck and enjoy yourself Ferdinand. When I lived in England, the one thing Europeans can't quite grasp is the size of the U.S.

European trucks are shorter mainly because European law restricts the combined length of the tractor and trailer. Companies want to maximize the amount of cargo they can haul so the tractor is shorter to maximize space in the trailer. In the US trailers are limited to 53 feet but there isn't a hard limit on the tractor length, so they can be made larger without limiting the amount of cargo that can be hauled.
