Later ability spoiler, but also tied to a thing Lewis said:

So, Lewis said that they "can't do wall running in a 2D game"
Later you get a dash move, and if you look at it's animation precisely, you can see Sargon doing a wallrun on the force field-looking background. It's a very neat reference.
I've sworn off Ubisoft games until the conpany gets its act together, so seeing a game I'd otherwise love to buy and play from them hurts a bit. Happy for anyone that goes to play it though. Hope it's fun all he way through.
Ответитьon the subject of Metroidvanias, I wonder who on this channel will have the privilege and the honor to play Metroid Dread? Cuz I know Johnny is the Metroid guy, but I know that Lewis also really likes that game.
I personally want to see Johnny break the game in half, because while I know a good chunk of sequence breaks (enough to skip a boss that I don't like), I don't know all of them.
Custom difficulty options are always a really good feature for some games when they’re well-implemented. Not only to help create a more suitable experience to fit different players’ strengths and weaknesses, but it also can help them approach the game in more unique ways than the standard “easy, medium, hard mode” approach.
Ответитьremember when they used to introduce themselves when the video started 😅
I'm hearing Lewis (aka Solaris Paradox for the OGs) and wondering if it's a solo thing, like when he did his Tec review or the Universal Yums thing 🙃
The Prints of Persia.
ОтветитьThief 2014 had custom difficulty.
ОтветитьI saw this around and then i saw there was a demo, so i tried that and yeah it seems pretty fun. It actually takes me back to Spider-Man 2 and Legend of Spyro Dawn of the Dragon for DS, two 2.5d action platformers that I grew up on, which is part of why I was interested in it, but I'm still a little surprised how into it I was. Maybe I'll pick it up one day.
ОтветитьWhile I have various issues with Prince of Persia 2008, like the aggregious repetition, that gave HAS grown on me for various reasons like the story, the characters of Prince and Elika, and how combat works with the two of them doing these duo-acrobatics to throw off the enemy. So like Lewis I am genuinely sad that timeline never went past the DS semi-sequel.
ОтветитьI love how Luis is the only one talking and Ryan responding with “mhm” 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I still love this channel so much
ОтветитьI'm glad I wasn't the only one that got Metroid Dread vibes from this game, Lewis.
ОтветитьPrince of Persia game where you dont even play as the Prince also the 2008 game is underrated. This game is a 2D side scrolling game so its also overpriced.
ОтветитьSo not Sargon of Akkad?
ОтветитьAs a pc gamer who also has the steam deck, I would have gotten this game on a heartbeat but its on EGS and not on steam :\
ОтветитьI like the parry impact splash screens
ОтветитьI’m happy this game did well, one step closer to reviving classic Ubisoft IPs that haven’t seen the light of day in awhile. New 3D rayman adventure any day now. Anyyyyyyy day now
ОтветитьLove to see 2024 starting with a banger game. From Ubisoft no less, who would have guessed?
ОтветитьGet it yesterday, been loving it
ОтветитьEddy Gordo and the Lost Crown.
ОтветитьGlad Ubisoft Montpellier is still around. This year is already about to get busy, and a Prince of Persia Metroidvania being one of the games starting things off was not what I expected.
ОтветитьWarrior Within: The Shadow the Hedgehog, Bomberman Act Zero moment for PoP.
Ответитьkind of a shame Ubisoft sucked all the air out of the room though
Ответитьhi BrainScratch
ОтветитьI remember the video when Ryan tried recording price of Persia with a kazoo version of Billy Jean.
