I Figured Out Why Rachel Is Climbing the Tower

I don't necessarily think that it is much deeper than Rachel wanting to be special. More so than anyone else.
Well... That may or may not coincide with wanting to be a child of a special prophecy, because that would indeed make her unique. It would make her the "star" of the show, so to speak.

But what would I know... I am struggling in season 3 of the manhwa. The time skips and the amount of characters that get literally no attention, and when they do get some character development, it's more often than not off screen, so I can't say I am invested in any of them and it is making it very difficult for me.

Not having watching even a second of this video let me ignorantly say that her reason for climbing the tower is stated within the first chapter

What are the chances that Rachael is like a step sis and was born first but has no power and refuses bam as the chosen one. Either way i bet they are related somehow. BTW she still sucks.

I think Rachel's whole goal is to try and "steal" the prophecy from Bam. She's been giving this knowledge ever since she was a child that Bam is the one who is supposed to do great things and to free the tower from the king's oppression. My guess is that as their relationship deepened and as she started knowing Bam more while outside the tower, she started getting envious of Bam's importance. Ever since the beginning she ddin't want him to follow her into the tower.

I always wondered if rachel is part of jahad. Some werid curse or broken off part of his soul. That felt some sort of empathy or sympathy for killing bam and wounding arlene so badly mentally. Her drive for reaching the top driven by her hatered of herself. Her haterd of her self so strong it means shed beytray the very same person she formed to protect. It aint going to be some super simple reason SiU actually a really good writer so probaly going to be some weird multi layered twist.

I already see the ending coming….EVERYBODY is Sooooooooooooooooo worried about bam… He would collect the 13 months & rings BUT RACHEL will Kill Jahad SHE’s soooooooo Weak everybody underestimated her power…… Think She is one of the only people who could Cozy up to a family Head and I feel she will “Slit Jahads throat aka stab him in the back like she did Bam!!! After they see the Stars RACHEL will be KILLED by KHUN as he PROMISED

i think rachel was a maid who wants to become the main character and be the hero of the story she heard somewhere no matter what :))

Season 2 taking forever

My thought about the whole thing is the so called outside world and tower are both prisons and the idea of reaching the top of the tower and seeing the sky is achieving freedom and learning the truth about life. Maybe zahard figured out what was out there and didnt like it so he wanted to imprison everyone inside the tower because it is said that zahard stopped climbing and started a tyranny. Whole existence of * irregulars * says much because the only people who cannot be bound by the rules of the prison which is called the tower are actually people who have some kind of relation with the real world. Phantaminum being the first * irregular * went ahead and caused havoc within the tower without actually learning anything from anyone so my guess is that guy was the first person to actually rebel against the system which is the tower so he wanted to destroy it but for some reason he didnt in the end cuz maybe it is needed for some reason ?

I have another theory rachel Is she baam's sister or something like that rachel Because ? First Rachel meets Arlene Rachel knows Arlene's dreams Rachel knows who Baam is only Rachel is what Baam saw in that cave then Rachel knew that Baam would one day enter the tower to exact revenge on Arlene. He knew that he was the revived one who had a goal that was longed for by Arlene for some reason.Rachel loves Arlene very much, it shows in her dialogues and expressions that she loves Arlene. I think it's her daughter with someone else, maybe to revive Baam, the mother had to do something And she never really paid Rachel any attention, she only talked about her revenge on the stars and her son Baam. So Rachel wanted to be baam she wanted to shine for her mother like baam did Prove that she could fulfill Arlene's dream, she knew what day she would enter baam Outside the tower they probably knew how to get in and she knew at what point she would open the door for baam That's why she was sure that she was going to go So she steals baam's ticket and she was happy but her surprise.they don't.receive her well She wasn't the chosen one and they know it and she doesn't understand because no one has faith in her Suddenly Baam's determination to follow Rachel causes the tower to open the door naturally. So he proceeds to teach him that baam is the chosen one She seeks by all means to steal Baam's place That's why she can't tell the truth or against anything about baam That is what I believe and I believe that it is a character who is actually suffering from psychosis. Depression constantly feeling unloved That it's not good that it's useless is making it really bad But I think he is another victim of the continuous revenge

based off the recent chapters, Icarus is allegedly one of Jahad's sons...so there could be something there

Just remember Rachel entered the tower when the tower called Baan. Rachel I believe is not an irregular. Irregulars are the tower's chosen champions. She was allowed to enter to prove her that she would eventually fail.

what if the tower is a prison and the "Stars" are the Universe?

I cant believe it just hit me but I've been wandering for so long why Rachel isn't power. Is she not an Iregular? Didn't she come outside like Bam? But wait! Bam is special though... and everyone else that came through from outside wasn't special like Bam but were Iregulars. So what is Rachel is not. Like he just said where Bam and Racheal were at was probably inside the tower or a part of it. So Rachel is a regular. I can't remember but was her status ever mentioned in the story before? Has anyone else heard if she is considered a regular or an iregular? Because at this point I'm thinking she is either a lot older than we know and was Arlene's aid before or she found Arlene's notes and is just wanting to be the one in the prophecy.

I've got my own theory maybe Rachel is a daughter of Jahad because they Look rather similar But She was Not chosen as a princess of jahad and somewhere in the First 7 floors she says to another regular she is afraid of baam because my theory is that she knows about Arlene and baam because Jahad loved Arlene and killed V maybe He killed baam too and He became King of the tower in making a Deal With All the Administrators and took the Power of the god that created the tower and in her anger she offered her child to that god as a vessel so He could Reclaim his property because it seems like baam is loved by (shinso?) and headon said the tower waited a Long time for his arrival and maybe Rachel knows of this because and wants to proof she too is worthy because i can't shake the thougt that maybe she is baam half sister and Can't accept that He is the only one special and thats the reason baam was imprisoned in that cave and Rachel's pupose there was to Keep an eye on him because IT seems stranger to me that despite her unfriendly behavior she still finds people that carry her With them.
Not Sure if there is value in that But Rachel seems to my like very lonely and envious of everyone Else and i think the reason is that nobody ever really care if she live or died except for baam and she doesn't Know how to handle that

I haven't read far on but it's clear that there's a lot of Greek, judeo Christian influences in here. I want to toss another possible influence into the mix. Plato's allegory of the cave. Where prisoners are stuck in a cave. They face one wall and they're whole experience of reality is the shadows cast upon the wall by objects in front of a fire they cannot see. They can only see the shadows but they do not perceive the reality of the objects themselves. Then one person leaves the cave, if they return and try to tell the others that their reality is just a perception they try to kill him. The prisoners see them as a threat to what is safe and the one who left can never find themselves relating to the people in the cave and can never be satisfied returning to that reality. I'm fairly sure Bam built his own tower to freedom in a pile of rubble before breaking out the cave and on the other end was Rachel. To him she is the sunlight, but to her she knows what he sees is just a shadow of the real her. Perhaps the key to shinzo is contentment. Bam is strong because he found what he wanted, he left his cave. The tower represents hers, she isn't content, she hates herself she wants more. The tower is her cave and is more representative of heirarchy, the sense of emptiness that comes from always wanting more, but also of chasing unattainable goals feeling something is missing and never living in the moment. Even if she gets to the top she might just find herself discovering it's another cave of sorts.

Actually we have this confirmed also from Urek Mazino aka the GOAT himself. He wants to get out of the tower together with Wolhaiksong becuase outside is ''vast world and rolling skies endlessly and countless stars illuminate the darkness'' chapter 112ToG before the fight for zigena flower. In chapter one Rachel says ''I'm gonna go up, living in this dark world, I can't take it anymore.
Also something didn't sit with me right about the entrance to the Tower. Rachel basically enter the tower when bam knocks her to the ground, and the door just open beneath them??
This ties to my theory: what if the tower doesn't in fact go up, but down. They are basically in aquarium with shinsoo around them which is more intense with every floor just like water pressure.
Positions are named in sense of ocean fishing. The administrators are basically ancient fish themsleves according to the images we get, similar to apex predator in certain depth.
One more thing the 13 warriors were the greatest adventurers of their time in the outside and that's why they even went to the tower to explore it, another adventure.
What if Jahad realized that the further they go, the more they are losing themselves... Data Jahad x real Jahad are like completely differnt personality. and that is why He sealed the entry to the next floors. Also Urek states in the 112 chapter that the outside world is more free than the tower.

I think the tower was set up to train the climber for whatever is going on outside the tower and Jahad stoped climbing when he found our and decided to just rule over the tower. I think the key is to the outside of the tower

Naw, Rachel wants to be the tower. If she wanted to leave, she has had opportunities to do that. Actually her leaving the tower would have worked to FUG's benefit. She could have been a carrot Bam could never catch and would have mercilessly climbed the tower.

I'm trying to catch up on TOG after stopping years ago and MAN this stoyr is so layered. Just when I think I know what's going on I learn I have NO IDEA! Looking forward to seeing where this story goes now that the hiatus is over.

In this vast story there is always an exchange for someone to be received something in equal value needs to be given but what if bam bieng received split his soul in 2 one that is tasked to protect and one that is tasked to complete the prophecy
