Would love to see this used on a microtech double edge. Couldn't use it on the elite, which was the most important knife for me to sharpen & why I dropped the nearly $200 on the elite.

"I will bet most of you do not have knives this small."

Allow me to introduce you to my heirloom fob chain knife. ;) Nice system. The original is a definite improvement over the normal Lansky, and this is a great refinement. I especially like how the clamp holds the blade spine evenly, regardless of geometry.

Still very flexible, has limited abrasive "stones", and is way overpriced for what you get.

Can it hold a forged Cheif with a tapered back that goes from thick at the handle an narrow at the tip, can it sharpen a ten inch cemitar or an 8 inch breaking knife. These are some of the same problems Lanskey had.

I really wish Work Sharp would send me one for free. At $400.00 Canadian it is way to expensive. My wife and kids come first. I have used other Work Sharp sharpeners and I have not found one I like yet.

This unit indeed solves many issues that the original possessed. However, how does the small knife attachment flip to grind the opposite side? There was no demonstration of that. I like the option, yet having to flip the knife itself over, then readjust the table for clearance each time the grade of stone is changed, will not give a uniform result; therefore defeating the purpose. This actually exhaustingly prolongs sharpening of pocket knives, or paring knives. A good idea, but adds inconvenience for the sake of having that option. I will remain on the fence for this.

The short coming I see: some knives have a concave profile like the big knife he showed on the video, toward the base of the blade it was concave. The flat stone would just make contact on two small parts of the blade.

For that price engineering around the inherent design flaws with including stuff like a literal block to stabilize the wobbly clamp is a big no go. With the cheap system you could overlook that because of the value, but this does not offer any more value than much better made, more well thought out systems do.

I'm wondering if, when you were in kindergarten, and later, if that's what your teachers all did...have a radio playing in the background... Please, kill it. Thank you. Otherwise, keep up the great work!!!

Well I bought one and now that I had a chance to review it for myself, I'm disappointed with 2 very important parts. 1- the stones are all curved/rounded at the edges so if you are intending to sharpen a spyderco all the way to the base of the blade, you won't be able to without adding a choil or having it look terrible. And 2- the clamp is terrible. Does not hold the blade as solid as my other desktop sharpeners. I do however love the precision of the angle adjustability and the digital angle gauge BUT without a firm clamp, precision is irrelevant. I'll be returning mine. Almost there guys! But not yet. Keep trying.

Okay i just bought one of these precession adjust elites and here is the real truth.... the vice that holds the knife is garbage it does NOT hold a blade tight so when you try to sharpen it it wiggles all over making it a pain in the ass to deal with, second it flexes so you will want to buy a 3d printed brace that is sold specifically for this item yet workshop doesnt make one... I was impressed with videos of this sharpener but after using it i would not recommend it unless you wish to stress yourself out alot.

You could have designed it with the rod for the TSPROF then people could have bought there own sharpening stones. Your machine is limited in polishing stones. I bought your first model but moved on to better sharpening systems when I found out how limited your stones were.

1) I noticed that you conveniently excluded the problem of readjusting needed to go from side to sideon the small knife table. It seems to me that would make it nearly IMPOSSIBLE to use effectively -- your angles could change with each flip. 2) Otherwise, it looks pretty good. Now....if it provided some method of convex sharpening...I'd be interested in buying one...

Why do you not have a system that locks in a bench stone and carries the knife at a precision angle over that stone? Proprietary anything sucks and is a big turnoff. Down the road with upgrades and changes you end up with something that you can no longer get parts for. Make it to last and without the proprietary garbage.

I thought the biggest knife in your collection was a 5 foot CRKT M-16. C'mon Tiger - show us the big boy in this system!!! ;-)
That said this system looks like it could do my Busse Fusion Battle Mistress, my Cold Steel Special Projects humungous bowie and my Joseph Rodgers MOD Surival Pry Bar as well as my Himalayan Kukhri.
On the other hand be curious to see how my Gerber LST will go. That's a nice small knife test.
I'm seriously tossing up getting one of these - they appear to be the best priced Work Sharp System here in Australia.

No. 1: What about clamping the blade precisely?
No. 2: The angle still becomes different at the tip of a drop pointed blade; i.e. theoretically you still are only able to sharpen straight blades - when positioned precisely
