So are there any benefits from an infrared sauna or are they a waste of money? Should you ONLY get traditional sauna?

And what about the wet sauna, with steam? Is more bearable than the dry one.

I see you go back and forth between different spectrums of Infrared. Far vs. Near. From what I’ve been seeing most Infrared Saunas are far-infrared. And if they say full spectrum that the intensity of the wave near/mid are no where near what those studies show.
Thank you for creating this video, but I feel more confused how you just quickly bounced around to different spectrums when most saunas don’t even have all.. thank you!

Iam ready to buy a sauna to put in my insulated garage. However been doing lots of research and 90% of the people talked to and all the reviews I have read are negative towards the IR saunas. I was about to buy one already but now iam having second toughts. All the negative reviwes are about IR sauna not getting hot enough and some people have to use a towel so they can sweat??. I been recomended to get a traditional sauna instead since is alot more enjoyable...So iam still don't know what to get🥺
If I go the traditional route do you guys know if I would need a 240v cldedicatwd circuit, drainage, water supply close to it, etc...?? What about moisture?
Here in clovis ca where I live the the temperature varies from 40° to 105° F. and rarely gets down to 31° and 110° F

Fell in love with sauna during 4 year stint in Europe. Now in the US, I can' even find a sauna builder within 100 miles.

When I had hyperparathyroidism, one of the symptoms was joint pain. I found that 45 min in the infrared sauna relieved joint pain for up to 48 hrs. which was a huge relief. 30 minutes wasn't enough.

The radiation from infra-red destroys bacteria and very gradually
depletes bacteria in the body. One 20 minutes sauna is like consuming one antibiotic pill.

Infrared is lower in temperature than steam rooms or regular suanas but then you have 215 milligaus.

Saunas, especially infrared, and steam rooms may cause toxins to bake into the body, especially lungs, throat and sinuses.

Hi Siim. I have a question about (far) infrared sauna. I have a titanium plate on my collarbone and in the user's manual of the blanket I just bought, they recommand not to use it with metallic implants...
Do you have any knowledge about why and what could happen? Neither the manufacturer nor my doctor knows anything... nothing on google or elicit... I hope you can help, thanks!

Have used both for years!
No comparison.
Traditional Finnish Sauna is way better than IR.
I won’t even use IR anymore.

I have a portable IR sauna which has two metal plates electrically heated for the heat source. Am I getting IR from the heated metal plate or is it convection heating and no IR? There are no lamps.

Thanks Siim! My gym has an IR sauna that I use after almost every session. I usually feel like it's not hot enough as it doesn't tend to go much over 122F. But, it is always a great feeling after 20-30 minutes so I do feel that I'm receiving benefits from it

I'd add that traditional saunas have a more even heating throughthe air/airflow. And the uneven heating in my corner IR-sauna was a problem until I put a 500 Watt terrasse heater under the door, a very cold area until then.
