One of the major differences in Batman's character in these movies is the theatrics and the way he handles bad guys. In the first movie Batman mostly hides in shadows due to being a urban myth and doesn't reveal himself to anyone unless it's to scare bad guys using theatrical tactics before beating them up, whereas in this movie Batman is way more open and doesn't really try to scare bad guys or make them think he's a creature of the night. In the first movie Batman blends more in the darkness and constantly stretched his cape open like a pair of giant wings after appearing out of no where (and sometimes after rising back from the ground after getting shot like he's undead), while in this movie this is the one scene where Batman hides in the shadows and does something theatrical and come of as a monster to strike fear.
ОтветитьI believe this would be considered "a classic" . This movie is 30 years old now. Wow I'm old.
ОтветитьDear Penguin: The children regret they're unable to attend.
- Batman
This scene scared the shit out of me when I was 7
ОтветитьWhy was the penguins troops where abducting those kids
ОтветитьWhat’s unable to attend mean
ОтветитьI love red triangle gang they are creepy like me
ОтветитьDear Penguin, The children regret they’re unable to attend.
-Batman
Those Red Triangle freaks have terrorized Gotham for the last time. And they owe Batman a new Batmobile.
ОтветитьThe pengiuns plan is so evil that even max is horrified
ОтветитьInteresting fact: The note Batman wrote for the Penguin that was delivered to him via the Organ Grinder's monkey was actually written by Bob Kane himself.
ОтветитьDid anyone else watch this a bunch of times on HBO back in the 90s?
ОтветитьAny parent who thought that this movie was too scary for kids obviously missed this scene.
ОтветитьThere's something I like about the fact that Batman practically trolled the Penguin by taking the time to write and sign him a letter after terrifying and beating up his gang lol
ОтветитьWhere were the police? AT THE COFFEE SHOP, STUFFING THEIR FACES WITH DONUTS 🍩
ОтветитьBecause a big, colorful, crazy circus train cruising around the city kidnapping kids whilst clanking and chugging noisily won't be noticed or anything. Yeesh, Gotham has the worst police.
ОтветитьThe penguin was a sociopath psychopath child trafficker and child killer. All from the mind of Tim Burton.
ОтветитьI know everyone jokes about how lame the Gotham PD is, but seriously? They couldn't handle an organ grinder driving a very slow and easy to find circus train?
ОтветитьTim Burton is the best
ОтветитьOriginally Batman and Catwoman would fight the Red Triangle Gang together and free the children but budget issues gave us this.
ОтветитьI think, for the sake of realism, the gang should use a tissue with chloroform to knock out the adult occupants in the houses they're breaking into, and have guns to threaten them. Two members should go into a house at a time. Also, as visually appealing as the train is, it's too unrealistic that there's a train cruising down the street with caged children - The police could easily get involved. I think a limo would be appropriate. The children can also be knocked out, and will then have to be awake for what The Penguin has in store for them.
Things can be campy, but a semblance of realism aids in the ability to be truly invested.
Also, I think for the sake of realism, some people should be knocking on others' doors and telling them to flee due to rocket armed penguins roaming around.
I think regarding the blueprints for The Batmobile too, it should be said that Max Schreck used his wealth and influence to acquire them from one of the engineers of the vehicle - This is actually revealed to be the canonical explanation in the film's novelization.
Also, when Batman fights the gang in the film, it might be worth saying that they won't use guns when fighting him in close quarters, as they could easily injure one of their own men. Ideally though, the bulletproof headgear should be used for all live-action Batmen, not just the one in the DCEU.
I’m hearing baby cries yet most of the kids we saw in the clips weren’t babies
ОтветитьThis scene reminds me of the scene in Edward Scissorhands where Edward walked down the street in rage, destroying all of his work and Esmeralda was playing "We Three Kings" on her organ and Edward scared her by cutting the bush outside her house into a topiary of the devil.
ОтветитьSince when The Penguin hates children
ОтветитьIn the comic adaptation Catwoman teams up with Batman to fight the red triangle together
ОтветитьWhatever sympathy I might have had for the Penguin completely vanished after he tried to kidnap innocent children. Glad Batman gave him what he deserved.
ОтветитьKidnapping is illegal, you idiots
ОтветитьThis movie was pretty fucked up
ОтветитьOne of the most underrated saves from batman in both films. If you watch it over slowly you see them poor kids being put in the cages ready for death with their little teddy's and toys ....until the dark Knight puts a stop to him. Ps you literally hear a snap after when batman grabs the organ grinder.
ОтветитьHonestly did Penguin not worry about Batman would try stop the child kidnappers? What am I saying? Course he didn't. His flippers are in his brain 😂
ОтветитьBatman has a heart
ОтветитьThis scene screwed me up as a kid when watching it.
ОтветитьGOD I love this movie
ОтветитьThe guy who played the organ grinder voiced Giovanni Zatara.
Ответитьbatman’s always there to spoil everything
ОтветитьWhere you hurry up get doses kids in there cages
ОтветитьThe creepy driver shocked to see Batman. What did you forget he existed or something?
ОтветитьThe boys aren't just babies
ОтветитьI have to remind you that this Batman had 56 confirmed Kills? I would shit my pants if I was one of Penguins goons and saw his shadow
