Great video with useful information! Although I’m a proactive person, I believe that everyone has things they hate doing and we tend to put these things off. When I get it out the way, I definitely feel alllll the pressure and nagging in my head evaporate in the air and things are lighter and happier in my world and on to the next thing to tackle! ❤

I don't have ADHD but a lot of the symptoms of ADHD are similar to CPTSD which is what I have and lots of Littles, and it is really helpful to see how other women do things. Thank you for your tip and encouragement.❤

I too, don't assign my tasks to days at the beginning of the week. I like to plan my week out by my Major Goal Areas. The night before, or in the morning, I'll write down those tasks I need to do that day.

Over my 30+ years of planning, I have down-sized my planner from 1/2 letter size several times, mainly because the amount of space on 1/2-letter pages is too much. For me, I can really get into writing a To Do List -- and just fill up all the available space with a list of items from necessary to would be nice to pie in the sky, including some To Do items that are really projects, not tasks. I've found that the key to planning is to have an idea about how long the tasks you're planning are going to take and to not plan more tasks than you have time available.

Hey Casey great presentation. We think alike in performing the most dreaded/hated tasks first and the rest of your day is easy. Also thank you for the link to the Bible verse mapping. I’m on a no spend now but will come back to your shop when it’s over next month. Happy Holidays!!

When I am really struggling with motivation, I will set a timer for 15 minutes or sometimes less than that. That way I start the task at least. Mist of the time.i will keep going until its finished, but, if not, I at least made some progress.

I have a "routine" sheet I print from excel every week, on it are my morning routines, (get dressed, brush teeth, etc.) down to very basic, then afternoon routines, and evening routines. Then I can check them off (you know we like to check things off) I even have the weather temp listed on it. Maybe I don't get everything done on the day listed (laundry on Monday) but I can do it on another day and check it off there. Then I can add it to my daily "pretty" planner without markouts and sticker on top of sticker. Your time list is good. I always hated to make the bed, until I timed it and realized that it took about 4 minutes, so I get it done almost every day now.

Thank you for this tip. I’ve used your tip before with the insert in my planner of the to do for the week. And checked them off as I went. And then whatever I didn’t get done I moved to the next week. But I’ve also added in time slots in my day. And by 5:30 PM I stop. And then I don’t feel so tired and defeated the next day. And that has truly helped me. God bless and thanks again.

Thank you for these tips. I will definitely try the weekly brain dump for those mundane, repetitive tasks, instead of putting them on specific days.

I was smiling when you said "piece of cake" because my economics teacher in high school said "piece of pie." When we asked him why he said "pie" instead of "cake," he said he didn't like cake so in his class it was going to be "pie." I think of him every time I hear the actual saying.

Thank you for the time tracker freebie. I have a note in the reference section of my task manager where I've noted how long some tasks take, but I think having it on paper will be better for me.

I put the "pro" in procrastinate. I like to set a timer for 20 minutes and see how much I can get done in that time. I generally try for 3 specific tasks and then have a couple to back fill if I have enough time.

I like the idea of a brain dump type list and not feeling constrained by a daily to-do list. I am going to try that. Yay for ADHD work-arounds!

Doing what you don’t want to do first, great tip. One tip that I would give would be rewarding yourself in someway only when you complete certain task.

Found you through the collab. I am an adhd mom too. My biggest tip is music. Putting music on is relaxing to me and makes tasks (even the harder ones) easier to get done.

Yes! I learned to work with myself by not assigning tasks to certain days like this a couple of years ago- I have a master task list of things I need to get done, I look at it and do one thing at a time that I have the energy and capacity for and then when I finish it I write it in my day and check it off and it feels more like an accomplishment than a dreaded thing waiting for me to do it lol
