CORRECTIONS Episode 78: Week of Monday, April 3

After so many plugs on Corrections for Carpool Karaoke, I finally watched an episode, which happened to be the finale. I haven’t watched to this point because I don’t enjoy James Corden’s show, but wow, what a powerhouse Outstanding Short Form Comedy, Drama or Variety Series Carpool Karaoke is. Now that the series is over, do you think an Emmy is in Corrections future?

I like to imagine these are filmed with a full audience but only three people are laughing.

Sigh...this has been a long three weeks ...had to rewatch the entire playlist to get my fix!

I adore how this show gives us whole segments of free Seth Meyers standup comedy.

Corrections has been the highlight of my week, essentially for the first 3 years of medical school. That very first episode came out right around the start of school, and every friday on the commute home, corrections was there. From like the second episode it just became this giant evolving inside joke between seth and us. Im sure to people who hadnt been there every week as they aired, it just wasnt that funny, but to those of us who watched every single one as they aired, it was unlike anything I have ever been a part of. I am about to graduate in a few months, and be a physician. This show was a huge part of what made me feel human during that time. Especially doing medical school during a pandemic, after working as a nurse at the start of the pandemic. It was a ROUGH few years, especially as a 36yr old med student, married with kids, bills to pay, living in a world that seemingly just refuses to admit ignorance of anything. Its oretty annoying being a nurse or doctor highly trained in human biology, immunology, virology, in the middle of a once in a century pandemic, while a not insignificant portion of the country refuses to live in reality. So thank you Seth for keeping me sane, and delivering week in and week out. I really hope the strike gets handled and you return to us asap.

I appreciate knowing I'm not the only one who thought it was "one-winged dove." I don't feel less stupid, just suddenly part of a long-lost, stupid family.

I'd like to correct the "British people have bad teeth" joke... It's been the case for over three decades that the average American dental health falls far behind British dental health and European dental health. These days, more than 40% of American children have cavities, and the number of adults that need dentures but cannot afford them is higher than in any other developed country.

Basically, your joke was out of date in the 90s, let alone today.

To correct that other jackal, it actually is more dangerous to look at an eclipse than the sun.

I think it would have been funnier if the coach was yelling at the dead body about something like not looking alive out there.

I watched Corrections out of order. Went from 79 to 100 and decided to start over from the beginning. Back where I started.
