Glad they patched it. As someone who plays solo and doesn't use cars it's so annoying that they made it the only way to win for 2 weeks. But now just have good weapons and aim with a shield EMP and you are set to kill any car users.

It’s the strat… you get the boss car, head straight to nitrodome since nobody takes it. Do the round, have the other teammate ready to kill the boss on spawn. Then get the 2nd boss car and go kill the 3rd car. You’ve practically won at that point.

As fun as this video is to watch, it perfectly highlights the problem with the last season. I don't think cars being part of the meta and getting boosted and having weapons is an inherently bad idea, honestly it could be a really fun and cool addition. However, the issue with last season was that the supposed "counters" in place for cars were all woefully inefficient, save for the Magneto powers, which were basically the only good weapon to have against cars because of infinitely recharging ammo. I'm sure cars were probably not quite as bad in squads, as having 4 people focus fire a car with boombolts is going to destroy it quite quickly. In solos and duos, however, cars were basically an instant win option because of how much health they had, and as soon as you destroyed one car, three more showed up.

Like I hate the jetpacks in the current season, but it's still way more manageable than the car meta from last season.

Damn, I miss that season, Cars were so much fun!
