Far, far better than this years John Lewis advert (dropped this morning). Every year their Christmas adverts never fail to dissapoint.
Well done on this though, a great advert.

My mum and dad passed and they both loved Robins. This advert has had me in bits xx

My husband died in 2022 after 51 years of marriage. I miss him so much this advert reminds me of him and I always look for Robins now. Also I noticed on the grave the lady was born in 1949 as I was. This advert makes me cry and its very true I'm on my own and very very lonely.

My mother died at the start of December 7 years ago which was heart-breaking and made that Xmas a sad one as I am sure you can understand, then one year and two days later my eldest brother died suddenly devastating the entire family, for the past six years as December approaches we all are tinged with sadness that doesn't dissipate as the years pass, this brought tears to my eyes as I watched and listened, yes it made me sad but at the same time brought back wonderful memories of these two amazing people who were in my life for so long.
As a single 69 year old man living as this Xmas approaches I feel a little less sad with this song playing and watching this truly heart-warming video

This is sooooooo much better than John Lewis 2024 Advert.... they should use this one for sure... I lost my dad 3 years ago coming up on 22nd Dec... When I watched this it made me think of him.... @ John Lewis (use this advert)

It is ENTIRELY possible for God - through the Holy Spirit - to send signs, and to use nature (or Scripture or culture) to do that.
Not only do I believe that, but I also know it - as God was kind enough to help me believe when my faith was weaker; and that has continued now that I DO believe and have put the Trinity centre-stage in my life. One of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, for me and others who have seen the light, is discernment. And, while I think the song we hear has something to commend it, the advert is over-burdened by sentiment mixed with fakery, well-meaning as it may be...
I know it is possible for the Holy Spirit to work through film and music in combination (and have spent the last several years of my life seeking examples of His beautiful presence); even as there are also cases in which divine music is sullied or tainted (often even in a deliberate-looking way) by the accompanying video (the distracting and deceiving silliness that goes with Keane's wondrous "Somewhere only we know" would be a case in point).
In general, with signs, we risk coming across pagan or d*m*nic signs, as well as those coming belovedly from the beloved (and active, and innovative) Holy Spirit.
Robin and Robyn is an interesting concept, but we should understand that ACTUAL communication from a person lost to us is NOT of God, even as natural signs supplied by the Holy Spirit in relation to a person already - safely and securely in heaven - ARE possible. That is a subtle difference, but important, and that's what discernment means - to see those things.
As a birder since '77, I know that a robin on a treeless and grassy moor is a lost robin.
I do not know how many living robins we see above, but some shots are crassly CGI, while others are not so obviously fake.
But the scenario IS fake overall, the "meal and mealworm" scene toe-curlingly so.
Robins are tame, but not THAT tame...
Surely, a robin in exposed conditions might succumb, and might be amenable to rescue, but this is NOT too likely, for a variety of reasons.
Another issue here is with nostalgia - which we need to be wary of. Nostalgia is allure underpinned by distraction and deception, and that's a sure indication of something potentially diabolical. When I was changed by the Holy Spirit, one of the changes was to lose regret and nostalgia - I am (largely) immune to those things now, and indeed God's presence in my life also leaves me well protected against loneliness. Even when we are in illness (often the ultimate manifestation of being alone), the Holy Spirit stays with us in the name of Father-Creator and Son-Saviour; and bringing Their love and truth.
The above experience was helpful to me, I must say... It would be easy to imagine that what one feels at moments of divine encounter is emotion; but the above scores with emotion, but it does not (fully) score with Godliness (well-meaning as it may be) ... and that difference likewise epitomises what discernment means.
Song OK, donation to the charity more than OK, but the overall final effect of the above is more of cloy than joy...
I have a softened heart, thanks be to God; but the above is NOT part of that and fails with me...

I saw this a couple of weeks ago on Facebook. I actually thought it was the JL advert pre-release!! Sam this is absolutely brilliant and far better in my opinion than the confusing rushing around advert they have released today. I cried buckets!

Beautiful through and through and 79p parted with straight away.
Being alone and feeling lonely are different things.
I've been both at stages in my life, but feeling lonely is the harder of the two for me.

I lost my husband suddenly on Valentine's Day, 14/02/2023. I am on my own; honestly, nobody cares about me. I still feel his presence; he advises me on what to do if the computer is playing up, etc. I will always miss him, and the advert brings tears to my eyes.
