What max said is 100% accurate. People are used to your calls and immediately execute them. The moment you stop doing them they forget, because you already trained them that way. Of course, some very important mechanics that we all track won't be forgotten, but some of them are definitely the raid leaders job. Otherwise, just explain the mechanics and let everyone do whatever they want, that works for some people too, but if you make the calls don't expect people to not die the second you stop making them. It's just natural.
