Hahaha! I recently attended a big free software conference, and no one, not even the Gnome developers had anything even REMOTELY positive to say about Gnome 3. It's sutch utter crap that my garbage bin blushes, so full of shit it makes my suage system jealous... I'm truly baffeled how anything like Gnome 3 and Unity ever came into existance. If they made it as a smartphone VERSION, i might be less suprized, but as a PC desktop environment? Ludacris. Xfce here i come!

GNOME 3 ROCKS. I'm tired of bullshit classic Windows imitations. GNOME team actually did some serious and competent design work and gave us this superb software, and now using Windows feels weird and clunky to me. Linux is a PLEASURE to use now, and I don't have to give up my lovely command line either. Rock solid foundation and functionality. I hope to see developers of other applications integrating with this interface, because the results can be truly sweet.

Gnome 3 is such an annoying waste of time and clicks. What were they thinking? I'm using Xfce, but Mate is good if you want to stay with a Gnome 2 interface.

I have downgraded from Debian Testing to Stable to get Gnome2 back, and I was feeling like in this movie on the day when there was upgrade to Gnome3 in Wheezy. Gnome3 is a piece of sh*t for little girls that needs to be trendy as this is their only sense of life.

Funny Video :D BUT Gnome 3 waste of clicks? SURE? Have u tried Windows? Gnome 3 is really good, but so different to gnome 2, u just have to use it, then you will notice that Gnome 3 is really fast switching different windows when working and stable. The problem? It's new and it have a lot of bugs. (Unity 4 example have much more bugs)

gnome 2 was perfect- if i could run my cps3 emu on wine 1.2/3 i would still be in 10.04- just put the drivers updates into 10.04 and admit the whole thing should go the way of w-vista- eyecandy and bloat with lots of crtl alt del.

KDE3 did it better.

i used Fedora 17 , gnome 3 was a nightmare , now i use centos 6.3 for my box ,really good experience

Gnome 3.0 is not Gnome 3.16, slowly but all the configuration options are coming back.

i like gnome 3, I think this is more for the fear of change.

If the Gnome people didn't turn GTK3 into a new libgnome I couldn't care less. But there hasn't been a single GTK3 release that didn't break a bunch of stuff. It's like they want the whole world besides Gnome to switch to Qt.

And GNOME 3 is still the biggest piece of shit. It's the worst DE out all of the modern DE choices. Absolute crap.

Gnome ia a good desktop UI. Very streamlined and functional. My wife loves it.
I use KDE. :)

I am a very long time xfce4 on arch user .. Just installed gnome 3 with debian, because it is the default.. It ate my last nerve , like pacman ... I had to find a rant to comment to.. Thanks for making this ! it evens it out a little ! Thanks !
