Always loved the fact that in the lord of the rings the most powerful weapon seems to be not a sword or the one ring but the language. We literally see people doing magic by simply speaking even bringing down a mountain with it. Pretty metal ngl

They are speaking like the one ring is a nuclear weapon and wanted to use it against the creator of the ring. The one ring that rules them all. Everyone is afraid of nuclear weapon of mass destruction.

I love Boromir’s but his mistake was not grabbing it faster at the end. He could have returned a hero of Gondor and crushed the armies of Mordor with the weapon of the enemy.

They'll tempt you away with treats like glory, work you like slaves, then steal your gold and proofs. They'll lock you up in spiritual chains and extinguish you in the church. It is only right to declare a war on a humanity that is foul and lecherous, but an even worse humanity will dangle a few nice people like flies and wear their faces like a disguise. Does the world require everyday self defense? If you still have a soul, you could literally get a steel bar and just start wacking away at people, but if you don't you're just a statistic of evil. You see, this system is so evil it even accounts for that. It parks a wedge on high historically and then owns both good and evil. You're basically just cannon fodder and workload epitaphs. Could you harvest the land as only a good? I say let the evil work for you but keep your soul.

I like the part later in the movie where Gandalf says "it's fellowship time" and did a kickflip over Sauron.

Idk why it just cracks me up when Boromir gives his speech and Gandalf just says “Aragorn is right” lol

Very scary that when Gandalf says the ring verse Sauron is literally doing it with him while at the same time saying the other parts of the verse and when its done his evil laughter lingers in the air knowing that the ring its doing its job to disrupt and torn apart the last hope of middle-earth

Why is it that over twenty years ago Peter Jackson was able to pull off something that was a hundred times better than that Jeff Bezos' Rings of Power shite?

Alan Howard managed to make such an iconic and terrifying voice that even when layered BEHIND someone, he's scary. Love it

When you read the book, this beautiful chapter rambles and goes back in time to various eras and geographical locations. It is full of indecisiveness and confusion. Justifications, proofs, counter points.
Converting it to a scene which could faithfully get the main points across to an audience while being fast paced enough to set us on our way again on this already urgent journey was an insane feat. A truly insane feat. And yet the scene remains largely true to any character who opens their mouth and nothing huge is lost.

Come to think of it, Boromir is only man literally said something that debatable. Of course his suggestion are all wrong obvious(Cause we knew what this is).
However he is the one speak the voice of action or option to done with one ring.
He is the representative of the one who face the whole enemy line(Rhun Umbar Haradwaith, Mordor)...😢

i am thankful they removed that Boromir scene because it makes him look extra week. and all of his arguments have no merit afterwards especially when they can all clearly and easily see how it already corrupted him.
