Great video, I wish they'd never been allowed to build those concreate abominations known as 'shopping centers' . The architecture before WW2 was so much nicer. I grew up in Cheadle and have spent quite some time looking at old photos of the village, and it was so much nicer years ago. From what my parents say it's been hit very hard in recent years and a lot of shops have closed like as happened everywhere else. My wife and I used to enjoy going to Stockport back in the 90s, we liked the shops on the backstreets like Little Underbank and that area and also the Market.

I remember the man at 1min 34s on far left. Ken Pursell. Used to go to the Coach Hose church on Wellington Road, often seen witnessing and giving gospel tracts out at the entrance to the shopping centre. Always wondered what happened to him. I knew him in the early 70s.
