Opening a Sentry Safe with no key

I took a hammer and screw driver and just punched it in. Works well

I’ll tell you a better hack. All you have to do is put your hand on the little lever handle on the top lid and push on the right side with your thumb and using your fingers pull outward on the handle and they pop right open

Mine worked with the file from nail clippers but I actually had to turn it like it was a key. Opened right up. DARN! I should not have spent this money on this safe

In all actuality these types of safes are just for keeping honest people out. My sister passed away and I lost my keys to the same safe and also to her’s. And sentry dosent make this same exact safe anymore. But needless to say her safe and mine took the same exact key. So these are only meant to keep honest people out. And good for documents n such u need to keep safe from water and fire. So apparently they only change there keys when they make new models. So you could get 2 at the same time and you would have keys for both. Say you lost a set. FYI.

I have the keys, the mechanism seems to simply not be working. Bought it roughly 3 years ago. Same model. Read many reviews with the same issue. Peace of junk! 😅

Must say this worked sadly very well. Makes me realize how insecure these safes are.

This worked on a SentrySafe CH2 barrell-keyed safe as well. I used a crappy gerber multi-tool flat screwdriver and within 60 secs on just prying around the lock it came free. Thank you!

You just showed somebody how to break into somebody’s locked box. I change the lock I have the key but I lost two of the keys one to two different boxes and that means someone else has two keys to my boxes and I need to change the lock
