Will there be more vids of these reactions?
ОтветитьDoes he know SRV or Hendrix?
ОтветитьYou can pull up many videos of John doing this song, and the solos are always different. But one thing holds true... 9 months later, there is a guitar born that looks like John Mayer
ОтветитьHe shouldn’t be a guitar teacher if he hasn’t gotten into Mayer
ОтветитьYour guitar teacher doesn’t know John Mayer?
How stupid do you think we are
Shame on you both
Having Pino on stage with him is JMs biggest flex
ОтветитьJohn Mayer loves Albert King, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Doyle Bramhall II, Jimi Hendrix and tons of other players, what you're hearing when he pulls those double note bends, is Albert King. Hell, most of John's blues playing is Albert King.
ОтветитьJM is a complete artist, others are your everyday guitar player, except vai who is also an artist himself..... the difference you ask , every tom dick and Harry can play a riff, shred , this that and the other...... but very few can compose something that breaks the boundary of genre, age group and gender, and mature like fine wine...... if you don't agree , you are a below average non musician, who can't tell a note from a beat
ОтветитьA perfect example of playing the guitar with your whole body.
ОтветитьA guitar teacher who dont know John Mayer 🤔
ОтветитьI introduced my gardener to plants
ОтветитьDoesn't suck that you have Pino holding down the groove.
ОтветитьThis is my second fav performance of John's, the other being Covered In Rain from a super old live album. He's so good at leaving meaningful spaces between the phrases of his solos, and at getting a killer tone and feel from the guitar thats right on the edge of precision and dirty. This performance in perticular he gets so many amazing tones from that 335, which he almost never plays live. It's almost always a strat of some kind
ОтветитьI don’t know him but I’ve had to teach my students neon???
ОтветитьIf your guitar teacher has never heard of the name John Mayer, you maybe should get a new teacher.
ОтветитьCheck out the live version of wild blue. Has a great solo
ОтветитьI think your trying to say, Not play less, let it breath
ОтветитьYeah John mayer was also a big fan of BB King
Ответить"like if BB King went to berklee" might be the most apt description of john mayer's playing i have ever heard
ОтветитьHow are you a guitar teacher and you dont actually know or listen Mayer
ОтветитьYour guitar teacher …. Doesn’t know Mayer …. It’s been 25 years since John made waves. He has the number one selling guitar on earth. The number one selling used guitar, the greatest guitar album of the last 40 years , I would not take lessons from someone who not only doesn’t know Mayer. But doesn’t worship Mayer.
ОтветитьJohn plays guitar in pure flow state.
ОтветитьThis is like showing your math professor Albert Einstein for the first time lol
ОтветитьWow, if you have to introduce your guitar teacher to John Mayer, then I’m embarrassed for he and you! See what I did there?
ОтветитьJohn Mayers best guitar playing are the times he is playing live with Dead and Co. Especially this past ‘23 Summer Tour. Dude is in an absolute league of his own.
ОтветитьIMO John Mayer is the best possible ambassador you could have to carry blues music through the 21st century. That dude is extremely well respected by B.B., Buddy, and Slowhand.
ОтветитьPretty good, but Steve Rayvon was still the king of electric blues I don’t care what anyone says
ОтветитьHe makes music of substance accessible
ОтветитьThere is a fluency and complete literacy in playing like this.
ОтветитьI would say Alex Turner is the only guitar/singer that is crazier than john
ОтветитьDavid Bromberg does that thumb over the top thing
ОтветитьYeah he had a conversation with Steve Jordan. And he told him something like “why play 20 notes, when you only need the 3 right notes”. And to me that’s when he really started playing less when it was called for.
ОтветитьI get that he popularised the guitar in times when the guitar seemed to be forgotten, and therefore we feel to read into his playing things that are simply not there, but there is nothing there. He is a very average guitar player, which just happens to be popular. What he is doing is realistically simple, and stuff that wouldn’t even be level 1 for an average jazz player. I get that people like him and his playing, but this is just pop, and therefore inherently average. Just my two cents.
ОтветитьSTV is his idol need I say anymore ❤❤❤
ОтветитьPino in the background on bass... Nice👍
ОтветитьLol. And this is the vid you wanna introduce John Mayer? I hope this is a joke coz you'll have to throw him back to when he played Neon a decade ago in a small bar with an acoustic guitar. Not to mention the live arrangement of Covered In Rain. Dude find a new teacher.
ОтветитьHow is he teaching guitar and he doesn't know who John Mayer is?😢
ОтветитьIf you have to introduce your guitar teacher to John Mayer then you need a new teacher. To be that ignorant of one of the greatest guitarists ever is crazy.
ОтветитьYou should let him see John Mayer in colloberation with Keith Urban.
ОтветитьI introduced Jesus to a priest
Ответитьchange your teacher if he doesn't know john mayer..😂
ОтветитьAll around, dynamics, picking , tone, feeling. I’d have to say this is one of thee best guitar solos I’ve ever heard
ОтветитьHe can play the guitar like he was ringing a bell. I think he's had that thing in his hands every day for 30 years
ОтветитьWhat year was this Crossroads?
Ответитьwtf, is he dumb?
Ответитьi felt he plays more like albert king here with the muscle in it but goes down to bb sometimes to the subtle stuff
Ответитьjohn is musician's musician
ОтветитьUmm oh umm hahah umm yeah yeah umm oh ha ok yeh umm
Ответить
