La costruzione del porto nel Sud dell'Iraq serve ad integrare i commerci fra oriente ed Europa. Non c'è nessuna contrapposizione con il canale di Suez. Entrambi sono utili per i trasporti dall'Oriente. Semmai l'Iraq dovrebbe costruire un efficiente sistema ferroviario di trasporti che lo colleghi direttamente con il sistema ferroviario all'Europa, attraverso la Turchia e la penisola Balcanica. Anche la Russia potrebbe trarne beneficio collegandosi in un punto opportuno alla linea ferroviaria auspicata. Complimenti ai politici Iracheni per la loro lungimiranza.
