What It's Like To Be An Amazon Flex Delivery Driver

I live in a metro area. When I started, I always got mad because there were some good offer that were taken away in less than a second!!! Then, I figured out that all the Venezuelan people were getting the good blocks!!! I asked one of them and they told me they were using a bot that would grab the best deals for them. For hard working Americans, these Venezuelan should not be allowed to cheat the system!!! They make upwards of 2500 dollars a week!!!by cheating!!!

It's BS ..it's good side money but they have u driving around 70 to 100 miles a block for on average of 100 bucks

I Make 90$, 4 drop-off stop, and be home in 3hrs. all I do is drop off meds at nursing homes in Alabama

Wait, I understand as a 'independent contractor' you pay your own 'business' costs, but can't these people claim back business use of vehicle: fuel, servicing, registration, insurance and their phone?

ie your vehicle is used 50% for Flex, claim back 50% on your business tax documents, 40% of your phone use is business, claim 40% of your phone plan. How do these people keep a decent wage if there's no support for small business claims from the state/feds...

Flex drivers should just apply to be an Amazon driver at DSP.

I actually just started doing Flex, my first day was a bit crazy. But the next 2 days were actually good. I finished about 1 hour less than expected

I feel like these stresses and hardships are common across all courier, shipping, or delivery industries. My husband and I owned a tow truck and car hauling company for hauling cars to dealerships from auctions within our city for a few years. While the money was good, these were daily stresses every day all day. Meeting the delivery of a certain amount of cars by certain times, waiting for cars to be pulled out of auctions, sitting for hours in a truck, getting stuck in mud, etc. Same with our friends who own semis. If a transmission didn’t blow out, something else was wrong, the shipment got damaged, something delayed the delivery of good like a storm, etc.

Guys, if you do not like what you do, no stress . Better to Look for other opportunities.

All these huge corporations act like they're so liberal and care about people they pay the end driver crap and they're most likely investing in driverless cars so pretty soon they can tell you bye-bye

I was a Prime Driver, and I knocked out 150-200 stops in 4 hours or less. This would be a breeze for me, but I’m not really wanting to beat up my car.

I do Amazon Flex as a side Hustle, i only work on the weekends. So, it's beneficial for me. I don't think I would do it Monday through Friday. One thing I wish Amazon would do, is let you know where the route is going ahead of time. So, you can determine if it's worth it. And actually talk to a customer service person instead of emails

Bs. You can turn your Bluetooth on and listen to the navigation is 99% accurate. Some people just trying to ride and listen to music.

They had a opening here in Eagle Pass Texas $18 to 25 a hour. Explain to me how it works and I wasn’t satisfy so I denied the work first because you’re putting your own vehicle you’re putting your own gas expense, Amazons not stupid they know what they’re doing . 2nd because they really don’t wanna explain to you how far they’re going when it comes to delivering. They can also put down how many packages he had to deliver. But they choose not to.. Amazon knows what they’re doing and they’re screwing. Sometimes their contractors over this is why I didn’t take the job. this is a position where they’re not telling you the truth and they just said just tell you half of what’s going on in your route instead of letting you know the full info with something I don’t like.

Bruh I work a full time job and I don’t have a college degree cuz I don’t want lol to go at college 😂 but doing Amazon flex and Uber eats and my full time job at Walmart im making more money see guys ya better be smart like me working and too many jobs tiny jobs to make more money 💰 save up the money to buy new cars or save up the money for college if you want to study is optional or save up for a house apartment whatever 😊.

Welcome to being a greedy business owner. Your boss makes what he does cause a lot of days he dont get paid or loses money. Its not as easy and glamorous being an owner is it.

I feel bad for people who has to do this. It's such a bad deal. No benefits, low wages, gas, car wear & tear and have to meet delivery quota.

As an Amazon Employee, I gotta say, they don't really care of their employees. They always say Safety is number one Priority, no safety concern at all, a total bs.
