There is something of a Lovecraftian element to The Gate, and it being understated as it is really serves to make it a cut above the rest in terms of creepiness.
ОтветитьA childhood favorite seen this gem many many times!! Love it just so fun the cast is great everything works great together. ♥️👌
ОтветитьSaw it as a teen when it came out and loved it. It gets so much right. When Terry hugs his dead mum with the reveal that it's the dead dog is heartbreaking.
ОтветитьI am lost on a name of a film like this a young lad collecting moths in a jar
ОтветитьI watched this last year and didn’t like it at all, was so boring 👎🏾
ОтветитьIve seen it many times. My daughter loves it even though she found it scary.
ОтветитьOne of my all time favourite horror movies from my childhood too ❤
ОтветитьDude..7yrs old in 87...still freaks me the hell out. No pun intended
ОтветитьLoved The Gate, and still own a copy on DvD. Everything about this one is just great, and the ending with the giant demon, and Glenn getting on eye on his hand was awesome.
ОтветитьClassic! Couldn't wait to show my boys!
ОтветитьLoved this movie
ОтветитьWent to go see this with my dad and 8 year-old brother when it came out. I was about 11. My brother had to be taken to the lobby by my dad during the last 20 minutes of the movie, as he was quite freaked out. Always thought this was an interesting flick. I did not get around to seeing the sequel, but hadn't heard good things.
ОтветитьI used to rent this all the time when I was a kid. It was one of the rare horror movies that wasn’t restricted lol
ОтветитьGLENN.... You've been BAAAAAAD! lol That part plus those lil Demons always creeped me out.
ОтветитьLOve this!! Pls find Shock em Dead!! Traci Lords movie!!
ОтветитьThis movie freaked me out at 9 but then became a go to movie, especially during Halloween season
ОтветитьThis movie was genuinely disturbing to a 10 year old kid back in 1987.
ОтветитьLoved this movie as a teenager.......great flick
ОтветитьThis movie is like the Evil Dead meets Poltergeist!

ОтветитьI love this film. That is all.
ОтветитьThis was on cable all the time when I was little. It was more tame than some other horror movies I had already watched, but I loved it.
ОтветитьWhen i watched this as a kid my dad tried to make it less scary and said the little demons looked like George the Animal Steel 😆
ОтветитьI saw this at the theater with my siblings when it came out. . we literally laughed out loud when the zombie construction worker burst into a bunch of minions. . It was such a fun experience as a kid at the movies.
ОтветитьThe 80s.. why were so many cool genre films made back then? Ok, many may not stand the test of time well, but they are still fun to watch..
ОтветитьI’ve seen this in 1990, one of my first horror movie and then Childs play
ОтветитьClassic! Is all I'm saying.
ОтветитьIf this was made today, its would be a comedy
ОтветитьThis movie defines the era...so fun
ОтветитьGreat video. Keep up the great work🎉🎉🎉🎉
ОтветитьI came across this movie when I was a kid, staying up late and channel surfing; I was not ready for horror, it absolutely terrified me.
ОтветитьThis was my fave movie as a kid. The dead mom was freaky af
ОтветитьThis was the first horror movie I saw in a theater. I'd actually seen Poltergeist and Nightmare on Elm Street. It was still scary to me at eleven years old. My sister was going out with her friends, and my mom had plans, too. So the little kids, my twin brother and I, went along. Since it was a PG-13 movie, we were able to get in. I still remember the grey, cold, cloudy day we went. A good day to see a movie, especially a scary one.
ОтветитьThis movie absolutely terrified me as a young un. It holds up.
ОтветитьAs a 90's child, i never had cable but had all the locals available in the Detroit area. The movies they showed often made me grow up quick. Including THE GATE, Nightmare on Elm Street (mostly 2 but theyd show the others at times. So many movies on Saturday afternoon, that looking back now that I have kids is like. Man I saw this at what age hahaha
ОтветитьThis was the perfect film for an '80s kid like me. We also had a tree in our yard that's gone now. No weird pits in the ground, though. When films had fun and imagination before "the message" started brainwashing humanity.
ОтветитьThis movie is a great choice for Halloween days.
ОтветитьI remember my parents renting this out from the local video rental for me and my mates when we were 8 years old
ОтветитьIts a classic. Love this one.
ОтветитьWatched this movie when I was 7 with my big brother. Scared the <bleep> out of me.
ОтветитьGreat movie 😁🎥 🍿
