I’m ashamed to say it but I had to stop reading Three body problem a quarter of the way in because it was already getting very psychologically intense. I could tell it was only going to go deeper and deeper. One day I’ll finish it…gulp.

My literal perspective of the universe changed because of essentially 2 chapters when they're revealing the 2 Axiom's of cosmology. Thanks for scaring me :)

today i just finished The Three body problem. fun fact as i was reading and the telly was on Euronews just raved about what a fancy observatory had been built in China and what sort of research they are planning to do. rip

I wish there was a full audiobook for the entire trilogy with his voice.

hey, i just finished book 2 of the Galactic Center series. written in the early 80's by Gregory Benford, it sure seems like a precursor to the Three Body themes. lot's of accurate predictions to nerd on.

For someone with a degree in Chinese language & history and a love of hard sci-fi, it feels like this series was written specifically for me. Some of my absolute favorites.

I honestly didn't like it at all. Stopped after the first one. The science was just too nihilistic for me and the fiction too hallucinatory. Not for me.

I wanna get around to reading 3 body problem as well, but I'm not sure if i'll be able to understand much of it seeing how everyone says its super hard scifi, and up till now I've only read the Red Rising Trilogy and To Sleep In A Sea of Stars.

I love the stories he writes, but yeah I was like that for like a week after mentally. Obviously I didn't push that onto others, but I was distraught mentally.

Have you read the fourth book in the series, it is written by his fan but is canon according to the author. It is very good quality.

I really want to read the three body problem, however the author's defense of the Chinese government has put a bad taste in my mouth whenever I think about it. There are so many good books left to read that I just kinda dropped them to the bottom of the list.

Don't mind me just rushing to buy my next source of existential dread
