i literally cant stop thinking about this audition

I've loved her voice for years but it's changed and I'm not sure if it's just been growing up and into a deeper voice, i.e guys hitting puberty, or whether it has been a conscious choice in the way she approaches singing now and has chosen to singer lower register all the time. Where Kaylee sings too high, Mara is too low, imo. If it's a conscious choice, I wish she'd bring back or incorporate more of her higher register...it's beautiful and shows off her freedom and range. At 16, she was unbelievable and came off as a modern day version of a young Aretha on the verge of stardom. I want to see that and hope for that for her. She's so incredibly talented. Plus I don't think her song choices have helped her thus far. She sang Elton and Nilsson? What? She's an R n B singer with swag and she's only what 21, not 50? Go listen to her version of River by Bishop Briggs or some of her Aretha covers, or even a few of her AI performances. Where's that?

It’s tough for her after going thru, AGT (at 14) Idol (at 16) and now the Voice … so this is it…. Hopes she makes it big this time after the show - lots of talents in this round of the voice.

i love her low notes. so impressive! not a huge fan of the highs. they sound quite strained—not sure why this wasn’t pointed out by the judges

It's true that Mara has participated in American Idol as well as AGT and now the NbcVoice. She started as an 11-year-old in Agt. Super talented. It is also true that no winners from the Nbc Voice have yet achieved stardom. However, 5 or 6 contestants that didn't win have nevertheless achieved a professional singing career. It is quite unpredictable whether the best will win these shows. But the opportunity to learn something and get better and maybe discovered by talent scouts is there. Niall and former One Direction are a good example. Simon Cowell saw their potential at a very young age and made the first boyband in x factor.. They didn't win but came in at No. 3 and, as you know, they had immediate success worldwide. Financed by Simon and his record company. They became popular because of a completely new style. Niall is still successful because of his own style. Mara sings great, but what separates her from other top singers? You don't get a record deal without being able to deliver something particularly unique. Nini, who Niall sees as a potential winner, has something very special that can be hard to define clearly. She differs from the others and has an equally beautiful voice and technical ability. Mara needs a mentor with particular expertise in differentiating and using emotions to embrace us all. I am sure Niall is better for Mara than John was. We saw it with Claudia B who made her best performance after she came to Niall. I really understand that he saved her after knockout. Now he got both Claudia and Mara. Let' s see what he and his fellow mentors can do. Mara is a fighter also with good winning chances.

There are notes that was off, I can see tension somewhere. That's why Kaylee was chosen over her by JL. Regardless, her perf was good.
