I remember I wanted to be a teacher I got my BA then took 6 years off worked etc and I honestly gave up of wanting to be a teacher. Then I watched this anime and it sparked that dream again now I’m almost done with my teaching credential and masters.

The manga was masterpiece but the anime i agreed with u being torned down because of mass viewers

GTO. Im a girl but every time he said how a otoko(man) should live or what makes a man a real man. I felt it to my soul.

Very interesting Manga I'll have to check out, seems like despite him being a former gang member it has a lot of Bushido influence.

I've only watched the anime and thought it was a wild ride, hearing that it's a watered down incomplete version of the manga makes me wanna read the manga. I'm sure those will be cheap and easy to find, right? right??

I watched the real series instead of the manga or anime, it was good.

The original GTO manga was the best, well written, good story, good humour.
14 days in shonan is good, it's a Shonan Junai Gumi (GTO prequel) fan service because the MC reunited with several important character from the past and has quite dark story.
Paradise Lost is quite boring but not bad either, what i don't like is they put so much unnecessary panel and boring dialogue and it's really different series than the rest of two manga the MC no longer being goofy story was really some serious shit by bringing some evil crimes organization worst than Yakuza to the story.

I finished the anime just over a year ago. It was the first show or series in any form that I felt hte urge to binge once he got his classroom. You truly feel how it's a classic really early on by the care to the characters. Also the manga is really rare now lol hang onto them

Randomly saw this vid, made it sound good, so I tried the first ep. I watched ten minutes.

It's literally a show about a legitimate pedophile.

It's not doing that thing where anime flirts with that sort of thing, he is just straight on a pedophile. He enters the highschool singing a song that goes "I am forty and they are sixteen"
There is absolutely no possible way to redeem this character and make him likable. Wish I didn't see this vid, will not be watching this channel moving forward.
I watched Death Parade instead, first ep was cool

Man GTO was peak. One of my most favourites together with Texhnolyze and Lain.
