Will be playing this when Ubisoft brings it to PSVR2.

My problem is, that the grip button doesn’t work properly up to the point, I can’t continue because I can’t finish the music box task. He does not hold the grip. Annoying.

Beside all the already good facts, can we take a moment and realize that a major studio released a FINISHED game 😮

Stutters often on Q3. It's 45 fps reprojected to 90 but doesn't maintain that 45 well.

I wish someone would do a vr game like chivalry 2 using those mechanics

This game is a killer app and a system seller!
There has been nothing like this and until now on the Quest headset! This game is special as it is a first and a full proper aaa title on stand alone vr quest!, You start off with the negatives as though this is just another average release lol?😂 My advise to you is to take down this review and start again lol!
There has been NOTHING LIKE THIS untill now with beautiful massive worlds which are fully interactive - cities full of people and life! This is an amazing game and a must buy! Worth every penny! ( I bought it with a 25% discount but sadly worth full price!

Can you wall run or is it all jumping and pulling yourself up?

Imagine if they allow players to make mods of this game for extra missions, game play etc

One questio Matteo. Will having a higher quality psvr2 make this a better recommendation in your opinion? 120 fps, hdr, 4k detailed textures and haptics??

It needed to be on better hardware on the psvr2 it would look and perform better with added features of haptics on assassinations, dives and scanning and eye tracking. Poor outcome on old mobile chipset for quest 2 when it could have been released in a far superior state.

Wish they would release it on Steam.

I really wished they used the floating hands. Arms always Look clumsy

Mixed reality mode seems, fine.. what you are saying is you need a fidget spinner for the cut-scenes.

After about 2 hours of play time, I have to say: I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS GAME.
- The parkour challenges, as Matteo said, are surprisingly fun
- The world feels big, it's big enough to give you plenty of houses and things to explore, but it's not super big like the desktop games
- The missions are interesting
- The combat is fun and challenging, I chose normal difficulty and died a couple of times. I'm sure I'll get better but it's not super easy like some people claimed
- I played Assassin's Creed Odyssey to 100% on Steam and I love the Greek world. Experiencing this world in first person in VR feels very nostalgic
- I estimate the play time to be around 20-25 hours
- The game stutters for half a second before some scenes every now and then, but it's barely noticeable. I don't mind at all and it doesn't break the immersion. I prefer the high fidelity and the occasional stutters than low fidelity.
- I experienced zero discomfort or motion sickness

Actually it looks fun, but wow ! The graphics are bad and the whole game feels fake because of all the missing details, objects, npc's..Honestly it's like looking at a game made in 2010, not what I expected.
If they wanna make a great assassin's creed for VR, stop making mobile games for the Quest 3 😅

It is obvious how expensive the game is. So much polish and glitter, you don't see it in other VR games. Mechanically I like Stride more, but it is obvious that the team didn't have much budget. In Assassin's Creed I instantly disliked combat. I hope it gets better, but there was no impact at all. And for some reason collisions don't register very well when enemy attacks from left. Even modded Skyrim is better. Assassinations are very crunchy and satisfying though. Also when I climb there is some kind of lag when I throw miself up with my hands, but after initial impuls there is the second more pronounced impulse added after a second. It is weird and feels like a bug.

can you play this game seated and without moving your arms around too much?, I would rather fight the enemies with just using the buttons on the controllers for that, like a old school video game, I just like to sit and relax while playing a vr game

Some choices were strange, but overall a really good game imo.

It kinda suck you have to hold 'a' to do parkour, as it makes you unable to turn.

It kinda DIDN'T surprise me. It looks...OK, and runs like crap. This is on a Quest 3 not 2. The spacewarp sucks, the stutter sucks, the reeeeeeally low res textures and shimmering suck.

Can you move bodies around after a kill to hide them?

Looks good. I still wish they cancelled this and made splinter cell vr tho. Chaos Theory was my favorite game when i was released and i think a lot of vr users are a little bit older anyway. Splinter Cell feels like a natural fit for vr. Stealth, Spy, Gunplay and usually pretty slow. Hope they pick it up again :/

If this is a Quest exclusive, in my mind it is another reason to not support Quest/Meta.

I really like your honest reviews. They have kept me from getting a quest 3 until there is more of a reason. Hopefully they will create games that give us a reason to get into VR before they make a Quest 4... lol

I'd say the game is amazing especially on quest 3. the stealth/climbing mechanic works so well in vr. the scale of the buildings and towns is absolutely spot on.

I thought the MR parts are ace! Makes total sense as its you hacking before you go into the animus, gives it a Minority Report feel.

This game has too much stutter and isn't fluid at all. I have asked a refund. Isn't optimized for Quest 3. For PCVR would be fantastic

Every time a game like this is announced or released, I can't help feeling like it's such a waste that there isn't an unleashed pcvr version, which isn't held back by mobile hardware.

I disagree with the MR, I was blown away by it, it was a very pleasant surprise. It made me feel like I'm actually the hacker and I have this crazy hacker set up in my room and on my head. It felt extremely immersive to me. And the 10 minute story introduction felt very nice. It followed up the story of what I would acually see firts, if I really was the hacker. It set up the atmosphere beautifully and it made me feel like it's all real. But I understand that this is your subjective review, everyone feels different about it 😊😊

it amazes me what VR gamers will gobble up. This game is a 6 outta 10. Shallow combat, meh story and horrible performance.

Looks like it’s not for me. A lot of these games that people say are so amazing bore me. Red Matter 2 I had to get because of rave reviews, only to actually hate the game. Who cares that it looked amazing. After half hour I immediately asked for a refund.
