I think what he is saying is that the human brain can believe things into reality by truly believing, due to everything having a relation to each other. Truth is real but in this reality only by experience and as a consequence knowledge is when the mind starts to see the truth. We are alive because we are meant to be here. Its simple!

I think one thing Peterson hasn’t mentioned …or thought of, is that through the bible, the word of God, human beings are invited into a relationship with Christ, and through the Holy Spirit there are multiple layers of learning that are perceived in the present, when we communicate with each other, while walking with God. This act enables us to see ways to accept differences in others, acts of wrong doing, and to create hope when without Christ we are left on our own understanding which is flawed, and suspicious. Our natural human reaction is to react, defend, run, hide, or fight. So yes, the bible is significant because it is the structure of the bible - the history of the bible…. But when you read it, and believe it , and put God’s word in to practice, it becomes much more… even more than we can understand. 
It’s very organic….a living breathing …text of God. I manifestation of truth… hope.

The Bible is a library, not just A book. But you also need to understand how a kingdom functions in order to understand the books in the Bible.

He just proved the truth of the bible in the last 3 minutes of this clip. I gotta say, it takes greater than average idea comprehension capabilities to really grasp the idea he explained. Personally, the most impactful phrase of this video is when he said the more ideas are dependent on a certain idea the more fundamental that idea is. And that made it click for me. The bible has the most fundamental ideas. And when you look at life from the perspective of the ideas in the bible, then life makes more sense. Because everything in life is less fundamental than the ideas in the bible. The more fundamental ideas you understand, the easier life is to understand.

With Christianity, there are really two logic things to sort out:

1) Is the universe created by Intelligent Being? Couple of people I see best speak about it are: John Lennox (Professor of Mathematics, Oxford, UK); you have spoken to Stephen Meyers. And I am sure they will list to you the views of Isaac Newton, CS Lewis etc

2) Did this intelligent creator made contact with us? I.e. the reliability or historicity of Jesus Christ. New Testament Scholars, Dan Wallace and Gary Habersman, can both give you a scholarly view and authority to show you how strong the evidence is. J Warner Wallace is also a popular logical detective that examined the case of Jesus Christ live and resurrection. Since Jesus is the only person, who fulfil the Isaish 53 prophecy in the old testament way before he was born, claimed He is God and existed at creation, overcome death and back with the book of Corinthians (strong epistle written by Paul, a converted christian killing pharisee) demonstrating witnesses of over 500 living people.

After these, you will then have to decide if how these two information compare to everything else in the world in answering, where you come from, where are you heading, and what gives you meaning in this life. Finally, a decision to be made if you should (for yourself and the love ones around you ) to find out everything Jesus Christ have to say (then, you might have to see him as a real person, who claim he is God, and come back from death).
