FoxAlien 4040 XE-Pro CNC Unboxing & Setup - Elevate Your Craftsmanship Game!

Dang, Merry Christmas to you! It's a nice CNC but man, too bad they use proprietary bearings and rails. Would be nice if it were on Linear rails so you could expand it. The one thing I did like about the Mastuer Pro was that I could buy off-the-shelf rails and make it bigger. I think my next CNC will be one I build myself. This 4040 is nice if you never have to do anything very large or want to scale it up down the road.

I have the foxalien vasto. The machine is pretty solid built, but the spindle is not enough for aluminum work

However I think that exposed Y rails would be cover by debris disturbing a smooth travel that is not good for finish. I hope I am wrong.

Hi, excellent video, can I ask what SW you use for machine paths and to generate the GCOD, for XE PRO?

I think I may have a faulty machine. I have this exact machine and use my son’s Easel Pro account but cannot get it to set up and cut. Would you possibly do a video of connecting it to the laptop and show every step you take to get Homing done and then using the z-probe then setting an example file and doing the first cut. You were off camera during this and I could not see the buttons being pushed on your laptop. Also maybe try UGS Universal G-Code Sender and set it up. When homing does Z go up to the top Should X be reversed etc… I have broken 5 bits 2 when starting a cut because it homes itself first for some reason.

thanks for the review but the music is way too loud compared to your voice? It's not pleasant to juggle many times the volume button.

What would you say are the main benefits of this 4040xe vs the masuter pro? And do you think this is a better choice for first time cnc owners who will primarily be working with hardwoods ?
