I've had my dreds for about a year and spent days meticulously pulling out the strands. I never knew you were supposed to just break them when parting sections! I assumed it was bad lol.

I like the fact that you're not combing out the hair at the roots.
I don't do that either because what's the point in combing out the possible loccin process in order for it to have to loc up again.
Hair remains nice and thick/strong too.
