You guys are lucky to have the first 1000 lb deadlift, its now likely the biggest goal ever in strongman. Every strongman wants a 1000 lb deadlift.

Now we know the source of the Hall vs. Bjornsson rivalry. Eddie was actually the Mountain's inspiration, gym nemesis, if you will.

I was there that day. It was amazing to watch. Then Eddie hurt back from holding the bar up for too long, so couldn't compete in the rest of the comp, lol. Laurence Shahlaei also tore his lat during the deadlift championship, so couldn't go onto to compete in Europe's either. Thor won Europe's for the first time that day.

Eddie Hall, huge respect to you! You're a beast, irrespective (in a good way 😉)!
