Zesty i have some constructive criticism, dude i think playing hype song after hype song in the background can get tiring on the ears, i think it would be better to do a more epic song ( for example god of war 2 atlas theme) maybe to introduce a topic and then something more chill after that (for example the underworld theme of god of war 3) maybe when you get to explaining something more in depth

The most OP magic attacks are clearly from GoW 1. All the rest of the games did fine aswell, but didnt quite match the feeling of the olympian powers like Poseidon's Rage, Zeus' Fury and ofc the most powerful magic attack in the entire series Hades Army.

Hades claw should include Army of Hades from GoW 1 for final upgrade. That's what i thought when i first played this game and got really dissapointed.

Fun fact:
In gow 1 when you raise the mega enemies and the circle button comes out above them the combo is cut off from the enemies because there is a grab to finish off the enemy or stun him

When you use Poseidon's magic before the circle exits or when it appears while the enemy is in the air, you can use the grab and the circle above the enemy disappears and you can make a Death Combo on him!

I made a combo on a Cerberus dog that demonstrates this mechanic

That's why Poseidon magic is in the top 3 for me so easily.

zesty also posideon"s rage has I frames meaning if you cast it when you are about to get hit you wont stagger or damaged

Great video and in depth analysis on all the magic attacks. I think you forgot about Divine Reckoning which is also a magic under the Blades of Athena.
Edit: Divine Reckoning not a main magic, I can understand

My favorite is GoW1, the extreme power of PR and AoH combined with the orb farm of MH make the game SO enjoyable for me but I agree that GoW2 magic is objectively better tought, more balanced. While playing GoW1 on Very Hard you can go through with only PR if you get it past level 1, it's that ridicolous but that's also why I love it, you truly feel like a God of War, the annihilator of living beings. GoW2 doesn't give me those extreme satisfying destructive vibes, maybe because I grew up with the first one.

To be onest zeus lightung is doing good damage But coasts to much magic...when you have maxed you can do crayzy stuff But it's art for art having posaidon or souls...here is how they could improove souls
Smaller damage But they stays longer
Also atlas quake dosen't Coast much so great setup tool But also this hitting ground thing is pretty cool
I think that you underappreachieted giw 3 magic science it gives you most of the options if gow 2 ones are so cool gow 3 is godlike even with this crappy gauntled magic

To be completely honest i played god of war 1&2 on hardest difficulty and never used medusas gaze 😂

idk if it was metioned or was what you meant, but the Army of Sparta actually have an interesting mechanic to the QTE, (you said about waiting for the shields to get raised, or atleast it's what i understood) but if you press the button in an slower pace (no need to wait the shields) more arrows are shot and the magic takes much longer to finish.

btw the game with the best magic imo is God of War 1, all of them look good and are awesome to use (and stronger ofc)
and my favourite magic of all is Poseidon's Rage, it's OP, awesome, beautiful, etc.

I actually think that gow 2 magic system is the weakest in the entire series other than the head nothing is really groundbreaking

Hilt of Skofnung in GoW Ragnarok is basically Army of Hades 2.0 and I loved it when you can used that special Relic Magic attack non-stop with the right perks.

I wonder if other similar magic attack from Greek will return to the next GoW game after Ragnarok. Only can only hope.

man gow1 magic variety is just so good. i never cared for most magic in gow3 besides nemesis whip magic. nothing feels more badass than poseidons rage. i wish army of hades could have made a comeback for the claws in 3

If you play with the sole purpose of destroying enemies on very hard, euryale, cronos, hammer and rage in god of 2 are incomparable, except for the rage in god 1 of course, which you use 3 times in the game.
