The Enfield 350 Hunter is a better buy........much bigger fuel tank, wider choice of tyres.............and costs slightly less. Unfortunately no auto clutch or enclosed chain though

I borrowed this guys one back in the 80’s, two days later gave it back! I just had so much fun on it! I gave him so much crap about it ,before?

On my 125 Innova, and I presume it's the same with this, from 4th (but only when stationary) another down push of the pedal takes you back to neutral. If the bike's moving and you give it another down push from 4th, it stays in 4th. Very useful. My Innova has that lightweight practicality (99 kilos), so lighter even than this. I think I'll keep my Innova!

I can't fathom how you are getting 188 mpg! That's insane. Best I can get on my Monkey with the same 125cc engine is 110 mpg.

I put a deposit on a Honda Trail 125, more rugged and useful but you lose alittle top speed but gain alot on the bottom end. Similar yet they do two very different things!

Im retierd to thailand i ride a suzuki g 110 cc the km per liter is good it will do 90 kmph 80 all day there are millions of small bikes i v riden my sluzuki mybe 1 hundred km to go for a capachino my other bikes are a bsa a10 with xs2650 motor 750 yamaha xv 750 3 of them honda 750 shadow just saying iv seen honda 125 with 4 thais on it quite common at 14year olds uk imegrent

You missed the neat trick that in 4th, when stationary, another 'down' takes you back to neutral. And it does have a clutch (apart from the centrifugal one - it has 2 clutches) - the gear change lever disengages and re-engages the 'gear change' clutch, and once you know this and have trained your foot to know it, smooth gear changes are easy.
I have a lovely 1200cc Triumph Speedmaster Chrome Edition, but my 125 Innova, a 2012 model, the last they did, has been in my garage since 2015 and it has seen two 'big'bikes' come and go.
There will always be a Honda Cub of some sort in my life as long as I am able to get my leg over one. They are an absolute delight.

Chances are you’ll never carry a pillion. So the rear seat is pointless . Better off with a luggage rack !

I love those things , they make multiple kits from side cars , cargo racks or even training type wheels with a trunk or a tuctuc with full cover

My first bike, but I did miss having a clutch. Great commuter for around town & plenty of people do go adventuring on them. #1 bike world wide. Bought a Meteor recently to keep up with my hubby a wee bit better on his BMWR100R. 😊

From one Ol' Man to another. You dress like I do when I'm riding my Harley, but back in the mid-60's when I was 16, I had the Cub 55cc model. As I recall, the chain ran in an enclosed oil bath & the new CT125 has the same enclosure. Not sure why it would be necessary to spin the back wheel while on the centre stand to oil the chain? Oh yes, back in those days I road the 55 back & forth to High School all week long for 25 cents worth of gas. Good to hear that the new one still gets fantastic mileage! That's so cool! I haven't started riding yet but it's tempting as a first bike. So far I've fallen in love with this, the Honda Helix scooter, the '23 CB125R, and the early 90s CBR250RR. I'd be pretty happy with that line-up in my stable!!

I wonder if this bike is more suitable for English country lanes than metro areas jam-packed with sressed, distracfed four-wheeled drivers or American roads full of SUVs with their blind spots and excessive speeds. I like the idea, just wonded about the safety factor. Of course, ths Honda is safer than the traffic-clogging mopeds.

mans so tall and massive it makes what looks to me a normal size bike like a miniature small bike.

Oh how times have changed. I was ridiculed by my ‘friends’ in the 80s for riding a cub. But now I can see these are full of style , not just nostalgia, but bonafide coolness in its own right.

I could well be making a return to two wheels.

My fiancee and I recently traded in for a Honda CR-V. Going to one vehicle from two (long, complicated, melodramatic story) has been good, but sometimes I wish (when working from home) I could just dart around town. This might just be what gets me to do it. Beautiful review!
